Thanks very much for sharing the photos, Ms. Fenton.
In fact, I've been so inspired that, as soon as I leave work today, I'm going to start a band called hookyeatmicrophone!
What a great name. Pop may eat itself, and Jimmy eat world, but hookyeatmicrophone.
Fantastic photos. I took a whole bundle of photos that night too, though they're mostly of fans, rather than the band. Once you've seen one Man With Breasts, you've seen 'em all (is everyone else as amazed as I at the amount of weight Phil C has piled on since joining the Order - well, I guess he can afford a square meal now?).
VERY NICE PICTURES !!!
and...indeed, Hooky did a good job this evening...sweating like a pig... ![]()
Brilliant stuff
How can anyone sweat that much? Hooky should now take over the title 'hardest working man in showbiz' from James Brown...
Thanx for the memories, that show was one of the greatest shows i had been to in my life and seeing the pictures just reinforced this.
no problem...must say, I got enthused to the point of Hooky sweatiness as well...my hair was dripping wet by the end...well worth lining from 3:00pm for.
thanks so much DeeDee :) :) These photos are brilliant. Will treasure this night forever....so glad I followed your lead and queued up early for the gig....remember me? I was the mad girl in the New Order tshirt about 3rd or 4th in the queue
:D
Teresa
I remember Teresa, you're in the background of some photos I took out the front...along with the guy who I swear looks like Stephen...why didn't anyone agree with me?!
don't worry DeeDee, I agree with you :)
they're all just mad ![]()
btw, would you be able to email me some of the photos you took of us lot up the front?
nah nah nah, I meant photos I took as we were going in, out the front, in the line...er, they're not too memorable, my blurry head at the front w/ you shuffling through your bag and the Stephen guy at the back staring right at the camera.
Hi DeeDee,
I also meet you along with Teresa that day while you waited for the doors of the Metro to open, sadly I didn't have a ticket to the gig. I like to thank you for sharing your pictures with us, they're great.
Has anybody else posted any?
I'm pretty sure no other pics have been posted. Sorry you didn't get to go, it was bloody fantastic, sent me into a complete dreamworld for a week (sorry sorry sorry). You should've stood out the front looking a bit sad, as a friend from Sydney did. A few mins after doors opened, she scored a ticket for $100 (she would've paid up to $500 - the spare cash was well spent shouting me loads of Baileys afterwards).

p.s. saw that you live in Preston, I'm next door in Thornbury.

Thornbury WOW, I am just on the boarder from there too. You didn't look familiar. Have you always lived in the area? I was born and raised in Northcote.
I probably should have hung around as I was out all day acting like a teenager anyway, a few more hours would not have mattered really. Teresa mentioned that others scored tickets and I was kicking myself at the news.
Although hearing them on Triple J the other day was great too and it didn't seem as if I missed much, well you know what I mean. Did you hear the interview with Barney on Triple R?
Were you able to download those MP3s Adam Read posted? For some reason I am getting nothing and let me tell you it's frustrating.
I'm just up from the junction, don't tell me we live in the same street! I've lived in Carlton, Brunswick, Coburg, Thornbury, Warrandyte, Albert Park, St.Kilda, Preston and now Thornbury again (in that order), so...yeah.
I didn't hear the Triple R interview!
I have got the mp3's though, they're rather fab. I'd kill for a recording of the Metro gig.......
Someone else has put up a few pics now:

There's a great one of Steve.

By what you have said I assume you are in Dundas street I am not there.
I didn't hear the Triple R interview!.
I would not have known about if Teresa didn't SMS me. So I thank her. Barney was saying he hates touring, it was a 30 min interview and they played songs as well, (not live material).
I have got the mp3's though, they're rather fab..
I finally got them thanks to a friend in the States, he advises how to download them, not that I'm computer illiterate, but nothing was working the way I was doing them. Are some of them just snippets?
