Why don't they play thechnique songs anymore? Was it such a bad time that they don't want to remember it anymore?

Perhaps it's down to this infamous re-programming issue - what with Mr Disco, Round & Round, Vanishing Point, Dream Attack, etc.
We did get Guilty Partner and Run in 98. Surely they'd be easy to knock off again?! Actually, we got Fine Time too, so I guess that one's all programmed in?
or maybe they have just decided they don't like those songs. Oh, wait, if that was the case, they would never perform Blue Monday ever again! :p

Has to be re-programming I should think. No apparent reason why Run couldn't resurface, though they may avoid Guilty Partner as it seemed to jeopardise their "professionalism" !

Love Less is great. I'd love to listen to a live version, but I thimk it would be greater if they usede acoustic guitars like in the record, although they don't like use it live.
technique has some fookin classics all the way through it...it would be nice to hear some of those ripped out again...but alas i think we are stuck with what we have got for a bit

These were all pretty much 'crowd favourites' the few times they were aired live - it must be the re-programming issue or sheer laziness - possibly both. I'm sure they'd all get a better reception now than the GRrrr stuff.
I just remember the crowd going mental when they opened with Mr D at the SECC in Glasgow.

I make you right Paul. But, that doesn't stop me hoping that in the time between now & Finsbury they'll be arsed to pull their finger out & rehearse a couple of fresh tracks.
I now realise that my favourite member of NO is Roger Lyon?!
I have just been on a 2 day Access Database training course and all this programming malarkey can't be more difficult than that? ;)
I'm willing to do it if they send me on a course...![]()
New Order are overdue for a set shake-up. I seem to recall Hooky emphatically stating that they would not be playing any Technique tunes during the Area:One/Fuji time...Round and Round sounds great on the live recordings I have and Dream Attack would literally bring me to my knees if they played it while i was in the crowd. Vanishing Point, All the Way...anything Except Fine Time would be welcome.
They should stop this bullshit reprogramming shit. If they have any of this material programmed then they should be able to get this formatted to their new equipment. It is just a cop out on why they don't do these songs. Personally i would love to see a concert where they play all of Technique in track listing order (similar to their Substance gigs) plus theives like us/ perfect kiss and an encore of Cerermony, Temptation, LWTUA and BLT (not necessary in that order), but as they say in Australia, "Tell him he's dreamin'!"

Aye - let's hope there's some set-changes fer Finsbury - loads from Technickers and a couple from Lady Like and Brother Beyond would be nice as well;) (and yes I'm missing Huntsy
)
Have you checked Anastasia Tryphonos's thread called "Hooky Interview From A Magazine Called Beat" for a full update on the latest Huntsman exclusive, Shug? Your questions will be answered there! :) :)

Behave Johnny, he's the c*** who's programmed the uber-wimp versions of Touched, BLT and Toothache! Has the man no shame?!
