I know it can be taboo but....

I really love Jetstream. I think it should have been the first single from the WFTSC album. Its incredibly catchy, has a classic New order sound, and is great dancefloor fodder.

It caught my ear a lot more than krafty did.

Also, the live version of jetstream were really great, they had a lot of energy, although i was mad that Phil mined his keyboard parts and then missed all over the song with his guitar.

But I do think Jetstream was a grea single in the vein of BLT and TBTHOG, a classic dance songs with loads of melodic synths, Steve's human drum machine, daft lyrics and smooth vocals from Barney, and some nice subtle bass work from Hooky.

Has anyoen heard the demo version of JET with out Ana Matronic, made before Stuart Price produced it? Ive only heard a snippet from it, but I wonder what the full version sounds like, how was it different.

And I could be wrong, but I would think that JET was mostly Barney's baby right? Sounds like one of his pop songs...

Sorry big lad but J-E-T-stream was a bit of dog, made worse by the inclusion of that dog Anna. The album version does indeed have a catchiness to it that my four-year-old appreciates, but it's not top notch.

Would have made a decent b-side several years ago...

those of you who like should get yourselves the Ministry of Sound 2006 Annual. Ace mix where Dare by Gorrilaz seamlessly merges with Jetstream. I'm sure it should be classified as a new mix as the mixers use their own drums. Officially its the Le Cont (however you spell it ) mix.

I play the Pete Heller Mix - Phela Dub and the Tom Neville Mix. The kids in my city really go for the slower house, Trentmoller electro-styled crap lately so the Neville mix goes down like a Grey Goose white russian.

the only thing I find the least bit offensive is the retarded droolgobbed lyrics, they're fucking rancid.

Love everything else about it.

I'd rather sit in a darkened and padlocked room with Mick Hucknall and a plate of day-old mackerel than listen to Jetstream.

I'd rather cut my toe nails slightly too short, just prior to a long wlak in a tight-fitting pair of shoes, than listen to Jetstream.

Despite best intentions of wanting to like it, I skip it pretty much every time.

I give the Richard X remix a spin sometimes; the vocodered "Jetstream lover" is quite cool.

I'd rather have unprotected sex with julian clarey while sticking hot pins under my finger nails and rubbing vinigar into my freshly waxed scrotem on the space shuttle challenger then listen to jet.

It would be hard to choose between Jetstream and Working Overtime, OK I lie, Jetstream.

Why do people hate this song so much? I find it rather catchy. It's not GIAUE or I Told You So, but it's not a bad dance song fron WFTSC.

Sounds like something from the Republic era...cheesy, yet likeable in some sort of twisted way...def. not my fave of WFTSC mind...along with Wanking Overtime, I often skip to get to GIAUE

Don't exaggerate. Of course you'd rather listen to J-E-T when it comes to that.
