It would be interesting to discover how much it would cost to get New Order to play a one off concert, you see these kinda things all the time in the newspapers...some twat hiring Elton John for his wedding for £2million, Jennifer Lopez £1million an hour......just wondering how much you think our heroes would charge for a concert, and who would be willing to chip in. Place yer bets....Would'nt it be great to hire them? ;)

Well, Shugsy.....I would say we'll have to pay big money and also throw in a tank ( for Steve ) a sailing boat ( for Barney ) and a truckload of piss ( for Hooky )....
....and maybe have to hire a hitman to find Tony Wilson......
I reckon we could secure Barney with a bag of chips and a copy of the "Beano"....

I was stressin' so much before hand trying to think what to say/ask them... And when I met them I just went completely blank. All I can recall really was shakin' Barney's hand and thanking him for the music. What do you recall of your glorious 19 seconds...

You are right...about feeling high and those blank moments...
I too felt the same..... When I approached Barney at the Sydney signing, my missus ( she was behind me..) told me that Barney commented on my Crystal DVD cover...but frankly I couldn't remember a damn thing!!! I was totally delirious!!! Well, at least things calmed down a bit by the time I spoke to Hooky who was really nice & easy going...
Probably all I could remember very well was getting hassled by the organisers....I had too many items on my hands to pass to the three wise men.... At least I had my JD boxset signed by all three next to Ian's face on the front......

I'd be willing to fake a wedding in order to get the Order to play. I don't know where I'll find the "bride", but it would be nice to see Barney and the boys playing Reunited by Peaches and Herb while me and my "sweetie" slow-danced.
Believe it or not, but rumour has it that it cost around US$70,000 for NO to do a club gig for around 3 to 4,000 people.
Just wave the notion "Charity Gig" under their nose and they will be up for it - or at least they used to anyway !
