Festive 50: Time to Vote!

Spooky... was just thinking about starting a top 20 of 2005 thread over in Behind Closed Doors.

My top three are;

1. We Belong Together - Mariah Carey (so so sorry, but i think it's a great track).
2. Krafty - New Order.
3. Gold Digga - Kanye West (finally he releases a decent track!).

And hot one to watch for 2006 is Pharrell's solo work (of NERD); hopefully this will be a big year for him.

Mariah used to make me reach for the vomit bucket at the mere mention of her name and the new album title 'emancipation... blah blah...' did the same; but then I heard the singles and for once I have been strangely surprised. I was one of Earth's biggest Canary haters and I still hate her old stuff... but the new stuff is very good (I still can't believe i'm typing this...)

Really Craig?? This track would be so much better if Mr. Kayne would delete his vocals and the real Ray Charles sang the bits that Jamie Foxx sings. Just like any Top 40 song this one is being played to death. But it gives me an urge to listen to Ray.

I hope not, i think Pharrell is a touch over hyped, with it being the Neptunes 'music by numbers' formula or NERD or solo.

They have added an special rule this year, that only stuff that's featured on their playlist can be voted for, so most of this stuff is ruled out (including New Order).

Agreed about Interstate 5 though - the best song The Wedding Present have ever done in my opinion.
