Can some kind soul watching on the east coast, give us fans on the west coast a heads-up on which hour of the broadcast(first, second or third) New Order will appear on?

I was terribly disappointed at the first VH1 broadcast, especially considering the write-up in the TV Guide. I don't want to sit through the whole thing again.

Thanks, J.W.

Let me get this right...the original "uncut" broadcast will be on VH1 Classic??? If so, thanks! I will try to watch it!

I sent my email. Thanks for the help!

I watched VH1 just now, still no New Order! Instead of the station playing the uncut broadcast of UK Music Hall of Fame, there is a "Breaking Bonaduce" marathon!!! What's up with that?

You need to have VH1 Classic! They'll be on this version, they already have showed some clips of them.

I'm recording...looks like 1st hour...unfortunately I have to leave soon :(

Anyone writing snail mail letters to VH1? I think I'm going to.

good thing i forgot about it, then.

YES! Sunday Night's Broadcast on VH1 Classic did have New Order.

and it repeats at 11pm til 2 am EST....

what time did New Order walk up??? I missed it the first time, cause my wife had to watch her show....

how far into it do we see the order go up??? (I did hear hook plays at the very very end as well...)

I would rather not watch the first 2 hours if it is just gonna be regurgitations of The Who and Dylan (who are great but who I have overdosed on already....)

I clicked over at around the 1hour 30 minute mark and they were in the middle of Regret, follwed by LWTUA. Not certain how long they had been on before this.

They came on about 20-25 minutes into the second hour, I think (forgot to look at the time, and I've had a few glasses of wine). The whole thing is repeated again at 8 tonight.

THANKS for the quick feedback!!!

I will now have to consume more wine on a sunday night (gonna make my monday morning SO fun!) in order to prep for some fresh new order at 12:20am Mondee....

if you are on the east coast, and get VH1 Classic, stay up til midnight til 1am to catch New Order!!!!

and is it true Gillian shows up??? I wonder if she plays at all??? hmm......

a toast to Gillian is coming right up.... (sound of wine pouring)... later fellas!

Stephen had some drum trouble on at the end of Regret and during the first half of LWTUA. Hooky started the latter a bit sloppily in his rhythm. Barney did not sing shite, relatively speaking. Phil was in a black turtleneck and didn't get much air time.

Still glad to see 'em, especially after that horrid Alanis Morrisette doing atrocious covers of Bob Dylan songs.

from what i saw the nearest they got to even showing somebody from Manchester was a fast audience shot that included Shaun Ryder

Although, it has to be said. you didnt miss a great deal.

I was lucky enough to catch it last night

I think they sounded pretty good considering they are older than dirt.

It was about half way thru the show...They gave a quick anthology on Joy Division and New Order and all 5 members went up to receive the award.

Then they played Regret and LWTUA.

Hooky looked like he was enjoyin LWTUA.

they probably extended Slash's excrutiating guitar solo for another 10 mins.

Give me the head of VH1 and I will:

Say:

:mail4u:

And:

:barf:

Guess that proves the natural law that whenever NO looks like becoming recognised by all and sundry, they will be pushed off back into a shadowy corner.

Sod the rest of the world, at least we 'get' it.

I'm glad I downloaded the New Order and John Peel bits from Dime a Dozen instead of watching VH1

I actually enjoyed the show...

OZZY and BLACK SABBATH were nuts.

Never thought I'd see the pretenders again either.

Phil's "wankery" is called normal musical ability, too many of our number have had their ears and minds warped by the NO version of talent, that any breath of what the wider human race thinks of as aptitude for an instrument, is considered an insult.

I too resented Phil to start with, but as NO have clearly held his nose and openned his mouth and poured fuck knows what down it for 4 years now, he has gracefull progressed from Phil the nice boy session dude, to Phil, gibbering idiot and full time member of NO. Look at the shape his face on stage half the time these days, he's not got a fucking clue. Fits RIGHT on in there now. Slash is simply a cunt, he's everything that makes guitarists the major threat to the final acceptance of Darwin. And he took more takes to get the intro to sweet child o mine down than it took our own beloved village idiot barney to get procession right, and that's HIS worst studio disaster (not counting sunkist or RTS)

Yes, the finale was John Peel's induction (which included a moving speech by JP's brother) and then Buzzcocks, The Datsuns, El Presidente and Peter Hook performing Ever Fallen In Love.

I just watched the finale. does any one know who the female drummer is? she's quite beautiful.

god damn vh1. i was expecting new order on the show too. but i missed it and i got all worked up that i missed it and now im mad that they cut it, at least somebody could have seen it and i could watch it some other time except they had to cut them out. what a bunch of cocksuckers. damn, vh1 has gone seriously low on my tv watchage list now, theyre below gome and harden channel, and i hate those basterds. grrr. somebody should pirate them playin from somewhere.. somehow... and we shoudl send massive hate mail to them now.

Did anyone else hear the click track counting in on Regret? Guess somebody goofed and bussed it to the mains instead of just their personal monitors... or maybe I was hearing things.

As for Slash, I've heard from more than one person who's actually met him that he smells as bad as he looks...

Dawn Zhu from El Presidente...

And as for Slash, couldn't you just see Chas Chandler wondering whether or not to smack him in the mouth when they were presenting the award...

i would still like to see the order at that event. please.
