Hes always wearing a coat indoors, he must be freezing all the time to need it.
Has no one told him that if he takes it off indoors he'll feel the benefit when he gets outside.

he probably thinks its a slimming look. will he ever get in shape again so he'll wear singlets and shorts on stage. hooky almost looks ready for his old leather pants.

Hey...
That might not be the best picture taken of him, but I still think he's cute for a guy his age...and I'm 18 years old myself.
Any questions?

If he is always cold, then I feel sorry for him...poor guy...I'm always cold too and I can't tolerate air conditioning...my hands and feet are always cold and my normal body temperature is usually at 36.0 to 36.2 degrees Celsius. But, I loved it that when he was younger, he used to wear shorts and such on stage.

Well, where I live in Japan, it's hot between June and August; it's cold between November and March. However, in the summertime, many places turn on the air conditioning so much that it's cold indoors. Even in the winter, I have the temperature on in the house quite high, since I have a low body temperature.
that is messed up.
no wonder you guys are upside down.
so, are you a season ahead or behind us northerners who stand the right way up???

I will happily warm him up if he is cold ![]()
I can sympathize...I'm always cold.

he prolly feels more comfortable hiding inside a coat/jacket because he is self-conscious, he is not exactly the typical public attention seeking celeb

Good analysis!
I think he's adorable anyways, coat/jacket or no coat/jacket.![]()

we may be 8 hours behind, but we're a day ahead, if you can follow that logic. i e 16 hours of the east coast usa.
the season's just different
On top of wearing his coat indoors, he complains about how hot it is at EVERY gig!
"God is it me or is it hot in here?"

i'll be in melbourne in february...my friends over there say it's the best time of year. is it true?
Any of you ever stood under stage lights BTW?
The size of llight rig NO are using these days is basically like being under fire from a Martian heat ray.
I know I'm a coat wearer in a big way, people are forever trying to get me to take it off. Not gonna happen tho, my coat serves the purpose of a female's handbag, I carry my life in it. I was into Tom Baker's Dr as a kid, so I LIVE to turn my pockets out for harassing bouncers. After 10 mins they usually tell me to fook off. My coat is like a galactic hitchhiker's towell.
I dunno about Barney, but Hooky looked mere seconds from spontaneous combustion by the end of the apollo.
How Steve doesn't blow up like a spinal tap drummer I don't know, even DRUM MACHINES go wonky in that heat.

it can get upto 40 degrees C there then. but don't forget a jumper. as they say about melbourne, if you don't like the weather then wait 5 min.

Yeah, where's my breakfast?
the days it doesn't rain in london it's just cos the rain is landing on and running down the sides of that dome of filth the place sits under :)
It's his gut cloak... Maybe he should start rowing when he goes sailing, that would shed a serious amount of poundage.

He's bought in bulk with Ian Brown. Asda price!
"At night it gets cold and you dearly like to turn away another future"
"when your heart grows cold, grows cold, grows cold"
"for i feel so cold at niiiiiiight, with you by my side, it'll be all that i need"
"i was young and you were old when i always thought you were cold"
im sure theres many other lyrical references to Barneys chilled sense of being.
dunno...but his cheeks and nose are always red. bit like alex fergusons. or is that just the whiskey takin hold.
Alright jem you outclevered me....is that a comment that he's decidedly NOT as fit as a butcher's dog, or is it something to do with his red nose and "special stuff"?
It's a Northern saying, meaning you are not healthy enough!
And stop making up words. 'Sprogthrottler' indeed!

I agree, Veronica! I think he is beautiful.

None of my friends get it. They think i'm mad to like someone so much older. I think he is gorgeous and i find him even more attractive now he is older. Some things get better with age!
None of my friends get it either. I don't know how they can't see it! I didn't cry at my own wedding but I cried the first time I saw Barney live in concert :)
Heather
Well lads you heard it here first, the way to a woman's heart/soul/underwear is to look old and cold, and make a complete dog's knob of the one thing that's meant to be your forte (in Bernard's case singing). Not a dry seat in the house :D
bloody interesting question tho. AM I jealous of Barney? Would I want to have Barney's life? Probably not, it seems to have worn the poor soul down a little. Would I want his talent? yes, but I have some of my own and while only a shadow of his, it is MINE, and it's enough to be getting on with thanks. I do wish i had his ability to put 2 lines of almost random words together than can sum up all the pain or joy in a human heart in a way that no one else on this planet has ever been able to do.
And as for the legions of chicks, well hell yeah, what's not to envy about being adored by a bunch of such easily pleased babes :D

I don't think I would want his life either. In fact, I don't think I would want to be famous. The money would be nice but not the fame. It seems like you'd have to be paranoid all the time.
Easy to please? Well...I don't know about that...but I'd let Barney find out if it is easy or not...

I could deal with famous, at the level of NO's fame (and of course their fans are generally respectful, friendly sorts).
BUT like "boy"band/shite-idol-winner famous? oh god no. A few weeks (if you;re lucky years) of being under seige from hordes of screaming morons who want to tear you apart and own you, while the press peer deeply into every orrifice you posess. Then it's all over and you meet Ant and Dec for a while, then dissappear and probably go mental.
OMG....the females are coming out of the woodwork now. Think I must kicked the sacred bull in the knackers.
Hmmmm, I wonder if I could troll every chick on NOOL out
got it.
New Order fans are different (special), when it comes to being obsessed with a band, especially the females. We have class, unlike the typical boy band fans etc... and we so know what we want. Women like us are very dangerous (fun) you know!
