So, it's almost been a year.. what do you think is the best bass line for Hooky bit on the whole WFTSC album?

I play Who's Joe and Turn most often meself at the moment, probably because there are a few good riffs in each.

HNWYD, WFTSC and Turn are my top three. I especially love the bass-line on Hey Now when Barney sings 'The things you say to me'.

I have a real softspot for WFTSC itself. It's one of those basslines that just blatters out when played live. Love it :)

Fucking adore the open D string at the start of Krafty and all.

Think he saved his best effort for the Gwen Stefani thing. I've posted that here before, can't remember the time but it's about 10secs worth around the 2m30 mark.

The title track, no doubt. The "Krafty" bassline used in a better context.

The sound to the Krafty intro is almost three dimensional. When I listen to it, it's almost as if I'm "IN" the sound. It's aces.

Krafty, 2:58 to 3:19 is IMHO the best Hooky on WFTSC

The bass on the album version of Jetstream is really interesting too... funny nobody mentionned it.

Although WFTSC is great, the bass is too low in the mix IMHO.

Turn has a great hook at the end of each chord sequence in the chorus. That whole track has really grown on me since I purchased the album last April. My fave neck and neck with WFTSC.

Ultimately, WFTSC. But the bassline on the bridge of GIAUE is CLASS. :thumb:

I am totally gooned on Hooky's bass. Can't get enough!

How do you get your sound, Peter???

I do not play bass, (synth is my thing, but I doodled with bass on occasion) really, but was always curious, what sort of eq tweeks and effects he uses. What sort of kit is involved and how do u set it?

Just some curiousity....
