New Order Music 1981-1989

Hey Guys n' Gals,

This book was put out by Warner and has Guitar tabs and Lyrics to some New Order songs, yet apparently it's out of print from what I can gather.

I've scoured Ebay and no one has one to sell, neither does the popular Half.com.

Does anybody have any suggestions on where to get it, or alternatively is there a bootleg scan or typed out version of it? (doesn't seem to be many guitar tabs for NO on the web or this site's links)

Try Amazon.com, they probably won't have it in stock but someone might have a used copy to sell. Good luck.....

why don't you learn the stuff by ear? it improves your listening and musical skills, and a lot of people i know do it. it's a bit of a challenge, but well worth it even though you may not be accurate all the time. i also suggest just looking for guitar tabs for individual songs instead of a whole book. joy division songs are easy enough to learn by ear cuz their punk songs. try this site and search for joy division or new order:

your better off learning them by ear than buying the books.no/jd stuff is dead easy to play anyway.

No I'm a real novice ... very bad.

I started learning ages ago but quickly dropped it due to transport reasons for lessons and without the incentive of a teacher both my guitars gathered much dust.

But now I want to learn again, and teach myself, so I'm working on building some callous's in my left hand as my Acoustic is steel string and cuts hard.

I was inspired by Barney, I thought "if he can do it, almost anyone can". ;)

yeah i was inspired by barney too.what i used to do was put on their records and play along to stuff like ceremony,temptation and this was after months of getting nowhere with guitar lessons and sheet music.its a lot more fun doin it the other way and it gives you a better ear for melody if u stick with it.
