I lent one of my pupils, a 15 year old lad, JD Substance over the weekend....

He came in today and raved about it. He'd not heard any of their stuff before (except LWTUA) and he said that he totally loved it. When i should have been teaching Media, I was having an in depth conversation about JD.... much more entertaining...He was amazed at Hooky's bass, and went on and on about how great it all sounded... bless him, he really did get into it...

Needless to say, he wants more, so im taking in more stuff for him tomorrow and and throwing in NO Substance as his first real taster of NO....

Teaching you see, not just curriculum based....

Shug once you get up to the present with the history, I want you to begin predicting the future.

ie. 2014 Barney reforms electronic for the 5th time, now with new member Keith Allen.

2002 New teaching methods introduced in England by Ms L. Music takes control of Ingerland. The youth all dance on the rythm of technique. Other boys and girls are just shouting: "ISOLATION", "ISOLAAAAAHAAAAATIOOOOON". Whilst hanging themselves (ooops)(SORRY).

Seb,(and the others who replied to this)

To be frank, leaning a CD to a pupil, and discussing Joy Divsion is ever so slightly different to having sex in a toilet with a 15 year old. I even feel funny replying to this, as its such a dodgy subject...not really amusing for a teacher....

nah, i don't think so. i swap cds with one of my teachers, and it's cool. i mean, think of all the money you'll save by dubbing it on tape, plus, teachers usually got bigger collections don't they? besides, wouldn't be cool if you knew a student prefers pixies, sonic youth and new order instead of britney? or vice versa.
