The draws been made, and to progress England will need all the musical inspiration they can get. Time to give NO a call?

Well, the World Cup draw has been made and England, let's face it, are in the shite.

Paraguay, Sweden and Trinidad & Tobago in the first round group, and over-rated numpties like Beckham, Lampard and Gerrard flouncing around with all the skill found in poor Georgie Best's left toe nail does not bode well for our chances.

Thoughts will now be turning to which erstwhile pop chancer will receive the keys to the top ten with England's World Cup ditty. In 2002 it was Ant & Dec, in 1998 it was the Spice Girl's and Echo & the Bunnymen(?!!!)

Is it about time for the FA to do the right thing and give NO a call, and plead with them to drag Keith Allen out of the pub for another World Cup gem?

Answers please...

I'm 100% behind you on this one. The last time NO sang the official world cup tune, no Arsenal players were picked for the squad (sorry but 'rocky' rocastle should have been there-scandal). Was a good World Cup though.

Another NO world cup anthem, and hopefully some Arsenal players in the squad this time. Perfect World Cup.

I voted for yes, we need one. I mean, they don't have to, but it would be interesting if they did.

Nah, for me, WIM was the pinnacle of World Cup Songs and they'll never repeat that brilliance (as far as football songs go, anyway).

We need fresh, young blood. But I'm struggling to think of anyone at the moment! Erm....

If it was the Order, would they all sing

'auf wiedersehen, it's one on one' instead?

Samantha,

Maybe a Joe Fagin "That's Livin Alright" NO remix might be the answer?

Snoop Doggy Ferdinand could do the rap this time.

barney in a 1990 footbal shirt good.

barney's beer gut in a 2006 football shirt bad!

would be cool, but the chances of them doing something as good as WIM are slim, so best not too.

rumours have it that certain people are recording "who do you think you are kidding Mr. Klinsmann" (to the Dad's Army theme tune), and "England, England Uber Alles".

hope not - apologies to any of our German NOOLers if this is true.

I voted for yes, although i'm spanish. The fact is that because i live in England now i want you to do well in this World Cup.

Ok, and because i don't expect anything form the spanish boys i have to generate some self expectations. If not, the world cup will be unattendedly over this summer.

Tunisia, Saudi Arabia And Ukraine...the easiest group ever, and we'll see what the red boys achieve.

A big NO to this one, imagine the lyrics how bad they would be, its hard enough to write about football as it is and they already used up probably the best lyrics to a football song on WIM, I Think it would be a disaster

W-O-R-L-D WORLD CUP BABY!

although i would love to see Rooney do a Gangsta Rap, with a Doo rag on his huge cranium and a pistol in the elastic of his football shorts

Even if it was any good it would'nt be remembered very fondly if England under perform. A likely NO then!

I don't think they can top WIM. Even for another number one. ;)
