Due to the fact I have 24hrpp on DVD and can watch it anytime I want I had to miss the first hour on channel 4 last night due to her indoors insisting on watching the preview of Lost on E4.I wasn't over amused with her decision but managed to pick the film up at the pidgeon feeding.

I know. I have 24HRPP on DVD too, but really wanted to watch it last night. Unfortunately i'm hooked on Lost too so didn't bother. Wouldn't mind but there's never anything on telly usually, then two things on at once. Bastards - they do it on purpose you know!

I have 24HRPP on DVD and I did watch it on Channel 4 last night.

How sad is that? :D

Sad.

So wrong, but so right!:)

No.... sad is not only watching it despite having watch both discs of the DVD repeatedly...still pissing yourself and starting a watchalong thread where you sit and tell yousrself and 2 friggin yanks who can't even see the flippin thing on Ch4, how funny this or that bit is. My only consolation in the whole thing is that some of you maye have read it as an early morning wake up grinner :)

The adverts really pissed me off though. I'm sure there was an ad break every five minutes!

Channel Four for you. It's the same when you watch Lost. Thing is i'm staying at my mums for a few days and she gets the urge to make a brew every time the adverts are on, she was up and down like a brides nighty last night!

Such a more acceptable way of saying what I usually term as "up and down like a whore's knickers"

Is Lost actually GOING anywhere BTW...it didn;t seem to be when I watched a few. Pleasant enough viewing tho.

adverts piss me off so much (particularly the way they slam them into the limiter so they are just MAXLOUDNESS FROM ONE END OF THE COMERCIAL BREAK TO THE OTHER)...that I pretty much download most of the TV I want to watch.

Forumla 1, in a dicey race, or a wet one....if the ad break cuts back a bit too soon I almost die with fright that something awful has happenned. Was anyone wastching the Brit GP when the mad guy came out on the track? It cut SO fast to ads that I thought they'd seen the guy get minced and had thrown the switch before that image got out of the delay buffers.

F1 adverts - I know it does make you think that.

BTW (see i can do acronym's too) thanks for letting me know why the telly suddenly starts shouting during the ad breaks, i thought i'd got a dud!

Everyone needs to watch the flick on DVD, at least with the (real) Tony Wilson's commentary switched on.

"You know what they say about Praxis... Praxis makes perfect."

"The original draft for this scene was to have the elephant snake its nose into Steve's pants and start, well, sucking his dick through his trousers."

"This scene never happened."

"There are many inaccuracies in this film, but I think this one here is the worst. In all my career I never wore a tie with a button-down collar."

"Actually, the worst band name of all time would have to be the Crispy Ambulance. Good friends of Joy Division, did a few records on Factory, but they could never survive that unfortunate name- nor did they."

"At one point I was called up to learn that all of the housekeepers in Barbados were complaining, because on their first day there, Shaun had nicked all the toilet paper holders for crack pipes."

Gotta LOVE the guy like :D

The most touching thing on the commentary is on the Pub one, when everyone basically disracts Hooky from "that" bit of the film to save him having to talk about it...very sweet of them all I thought.

Sad is owning the dvd and then turning around last night and buying the 2 disc because you were that annoyed at how much goodness you've missed out on without it.

A mans TV is his Castle,No one touches my TV without my say so.Certain programmes are not allowed in my house here's the list:

Richard and judy Emmmmmmerdrivel coronation shite Eastbenders Friends (unless she obliges with a hand shandy) Tranny and savannah (what shit to wear) Charmed

Occosianally i do give in and let her watch Will & Grace, this is only when i'm in the bath,on the computer,on afters shift or down the pub with my mates!

Another rule in lord 's mansion, The old whingebag must not ,at any time, watch lord 's personal widescreen TV in his bedroom . To even touch the remote control for the aforementioned TV is punishable by death!(or a few backhanders!)

I'm suprised at you Captain.

You have to train them from the start, just like you would with an Alsatian puppy,Terrorise the little bastard when its young ,then it wont give you any trouble when it gets older!

Yep I watched it too. Planned to record it but just watch the first 30 mins or so before falling asleep with the telly on, as per the usual in the delilah household. Needless to say I couldn't stop watching...

Was therefore a bit  when I had to get up at 6...really can't cope with midweek late nights any more...

I probably don't need to remind all and sundry that I'm not one for supression of the female but with the exception of Friends that's a reasonable list of demands....forgot to add sex and the city tho (ermmm did I mis a meeting where SJP got voted as anything other that a horsegobbed whore?).

Sadly 2 people have overridden all such demands... Dear sis Rach, and one time best mucker Est....both of whom would literally walk in grab a beer from the fridge, and flop onto MY assgroove on the sofa, grabbing the remote and shouting "skin up" (in Est's case anyway) all in one deft motion. Fortunately Est usualy came on boyfriends avoidance missions and to perve over captain picard (weds 1755hrs knock Knock....ahhh that'll be est")
