I have those and can play them on my laserdisc player. Would love to have the PFD LD but I fear it would be very expensive.

Somewhere I have some early TV footage on programmes like BBC Riverside. This was recorded on the quickly outadated Philips V2000 video system. Tapes worked on both sides like audio casettes. Quality was excellent, much better than VHS. WIll have to have a hunt around sometime to see if I can retrieve it.

My Beta VCR went kaput (finally!!!) earlier this year, so no being able to play any of the US versions of the Factory/Ikon videos. Have to get a replacement though, supposedly the old video copy of The Fall's Perverted By Language is better than the current DVD release, even with the added footage of that live Leeds show.

...well I know for a fact that the DVD was mastered from an old VHS copy. No-one could locate the master etc...

besides the relatively obvious (laserdisc, DAT, betamax) i, too, don't have a record player at the moment so my vinyl is just sitting there. my poor records are starting to look bored and i feel sorry for them; they need to be spun soon before they wither away! (yes, i anthropomorphize my possessions).

I don't think there is any... I do own a turntable and I also own a VCR, but neither of those are plugged to any equipment that I have.

But I do have some Region 2 DVDs  my brand new DVD player is unable to read them...
