Dunno what's going on recently - but everyone's slagging Slow Jam in much the same way as they did with Rock The Shack:nod: I love both of them:D Does anybody like Slow Jam?

I too reckon they're both good, Shugs - can't work out what all the fuss is about these songs. I guess because they're guitary, fans of NO's electronic stuff feel a bit alienated, but it's closer to the'real' NO/JD sound than the turgid sub-PSB bollocks that makes up most of the second half of Republic. In my opinion, obviously. CTD

Aww...

Did you like mine and Annie's version of Run Wild?

Slow Jam, good track, but you have to be in the mood for it. As for rock the shack, once the initial shock wore of I do actually quite like it....

Slow Jam come across quite well live at the Metro gig in Melbourne, i really liked it before and it just reinforced by enjoyment of the song, but then i have always been a bit partial to a guitar rock out!!!

I'm sure he'd be honoured you cheeky git..

No, don't agree anyway, Slow Jam does nothing for me at all - just doesn't work in my opinion, and the lyrics are hideous. I've always liked RTS though

I've been accused of everything From Tombuctu to old Berlin I need some armor for my flesh I need to stop and take a rest

I've been wide-eyed but couldn't see I stand accused of being me

I believe in politics I believe in everything I believe this world of ours is giving me adrenaline When I hear a baby cry When I see an old man die That's just the way it is

Rock the shack, rock the shack, rock the shack, rock the shack Rock the shack, rock the shack, rock the shack, rock the shack

Yeah that's the way it is

I took each day the way it came I put my future out of frame The signs were there for all to see Like blue eyed mind to you and me My head laid on my beating breast I swear to you I pass the test I walked one hundred thousand miles And you're the judge who's been my trial ??? my trial

I believe in politics I believe in everything I believe this world of ours is just a den of vice and sins And even on the darkest night We could reach for the light And we could get it right

Get it right, get it right, get it right, get it right Get it right, get it right, get it right, get it right

I believe in politics I believe in everything I believe this world of ours is giving me adrenaline Ten thousand year ago Crawling on the floor Well get up Jack It's time to rock the shack

Rock the shack, rock the shack, rock the shack, rock the shack Rock the shack, rock the shack, rock the shack, rock the shack

It's time to get up

When you come to expect perfection, anything below that standard is seen as a failure :evil4:

Timbuktu is the English translation for the city of Tombuctu in Congo. When I first read Timbuktu I thought it was a mistake and urged Nic & Seb to correct it in the lyrics section. Since then I discovered that the spelling was indeed different in English. Shame on me, I'm responsible for a mistake in the lyrics section. :uhoh:

I'll admit to previously having a soft spot for Strawberry Jam actually, having said that, anybody who tries to Rock MY Shack will pay the price by being severely hospitalised for life....and that's no idle threat either! Hmmmph! :evil3:

I absolutly love the start of RTS!! the chorus doesnt feel very "NewOrdery" but they still manage to carry it off :) (effortlessy of course!!)

I think i probably just listen to Slow Jam cause its NO. Its got some dodgy lyrics and doesnt really go anywere but its no disgrace by far.

fuck how bad the lyrics are. what really matters is the music. Rock the shack is one of my favourites (very bad title though) and slow jam is the song i always skip.

I frigging really dig RTS...Slow Jam...I can tolerate it!!!

Let's be honest - if the songs were that shit, wouldn't it stop you being a fan and thus you wouldn't be on a NO fan-based website? CTD

Slow Jam, saw it live at the Metro, and wondered why on earth out of all the songs to play from Get Ready they choose this one.

Its mediocreat best, I can handle Rock The Shack though, quite good.
