I hated "Rock the Shack" for the 1st few listens and the song just grew on me. It took about 5 times of listening before I started to like it. "Slow Jam" isn't a bad song either. It just took a few listens to accept the fact that hey, NO made it, and that is good enough for me. The Lyrics are kinda cheesey, but I do like it. However not their best, but who I am to judge, since I can't even write a frickin' song to save my life![]()
Is Slow Jam another Rock The Shack?

Not keen on Slow Jam. Plods along and a bit messy I think. :\ohwell:
Rock the Shack is much better. Attitude and direction. Or something like that...

i actually quite like RTS. some of the lyrics are okay, and some are of course really silly...but overall, it's a lot of fun. a fist-pumper, if you will. :D but i agree with Kim in that it sorta had to grow on me first. and believe me, i've no problem with guitarry stuff. ;)
"Slow Jam," if i'm in the right mood, is fine. but sometimes i'm not in the right mood. it all depends. sometimes i really like it, and sometimes i don't.
there's a topic for you: which NO songs are you completely mercurial on? ![]()
I have championed this song all along...
It's great...it's stonking...it just frigging rocks...
going to go play it right now!!!!
Slow Jam Sucks! Without a doubt the WORST neworder song Ever. It doesn't mean neworder suck, but this one song is worse than anything they have ever recorded. Shit lyrics, shit music and yes, i do have the BBC version and it's still Shit. Second rate Oasis b-side and nothing more.

second rate Oasis b-side - you've gotta be kidding
Fair enough - you don't like it - I do - but please mentioning that it's a second rate b-side for Oasis will give my wee brothers hours of enjoyment - it's bad enough that they're at No 1 - please don't give the little bastards any more ammo![]()

I love both of them:DDoes anybody like Slow Jam?
Yes, yes I love it very much. Can I have my money now? :D
Actually, I reached the point where when it came to those songs on the disc, I got over the lyrics and just concentrated on the feel of the music (may I add that alcohol helped a bit in this matter
?),and I don't skip 'em when they come up these days.

FUCK OFF! SLOW JAM KICKS ARSE AND IS TEN TIMES BETTER THAN ROCK THE WANK! WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU PEOPLE ON!!!!?!?!?!?!
(can I have some?)
I like both... even though "Shack" as a lame chorus. So they love guitars, what's the fuss? Personally, one of the reasons I've always loved NO was the guitar/electronics fusion they did even on the JD days.
