He claims to have managed New Order for 18 years. Was he partners with Rob Gretton or what?

tom atencio is the one that made NEWORDER sign to qwest... he's not a manager really... i would rather say a US spokesman...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but New Order are managed in the UK by Prime management and in the US by Tom Atencio & Associates

cheers everyone! thanks for the info. I saw him on this show in the states called Starting Over. it's a show about a group of women living in this house and being counselled by various psychologists and 'life coaches'. anyway, one of them was going to start a singing career, so she met up with Mr. Atencio. he dropped a few names, including New Order.

A hero.

I never met him but was working at an independent music store in 1993 and talked to him briefly on the phone. My manager told him how big a fan I was and Tom sent me two box seat (Box #1, Seats #1 & #2) tickets to their Hollywood Bowl show.

And it is Tom Atencio.

Tom is New Order's North American manager.

"Sort of" because obviously Andy & Rebecca do all the work, so maybe it was more like it when Rob was around, but since I contact with them I know for a fact they are a pretty reliable source of information ;)
