Electronic and Monaco both recorded some fine songs but my vote will got to Monaco since both their LP's are excellent and on the whole do not have a poor song on them. I also feel Monaco LP's will / are standing the test of time better than the Electronic efforts.
as for me...I shall have to choose Electronic...since I am on the cover of Twisted Tenderness...
and I've never found myself taking a Monaco CD to work, but I have carried along the Electronic discs....
but Marco...
Revenge was not an option...I liked One True Passion, but I didn't think much of Gun World Porn...
I've seen revenge in concert...small venue, up next to the stage...it was grand!!!

For my taste, Monaco is a bit too cheesy...(especially for the lyrics)
Im not that old of a new order fan and actually got into electronic when i was fairly new to new order. I kept hearing about it because i was also getting into the smiths at the time and i was like "bernard sumner, johnny marr, thats convenient." i think their first album, though a little dated, is really great. I will admit that i actually hadnt heard any monaco until last night when i downloaded what do you want from me. I have to say this is a really good song, im definately going to download more of their stuff.
i like both, i think. actually, i have heard all three of the electronic records, and the raise the pressure was pretty mediocre. i only heard one of the monaco records and that wasn't too bad. Over all, i think bernard sumner is a better song writer than peter hook, and having johnny marr working with you isn't too bad. so i'd have to say electronic, but they're pretty close.
Electronic just have the edge over Monaco as regards their respective début albums. But then Music For Pleasure towered over the subsequent second and third piss poor Electronic efforts. Mind you, again, Monaco's second album was also piss poor - a third-hand rewrite of the first one... so that kind of equals it out.... 
Ive only heard the first Monaco album and I like it a lot, the first Electronic album, while fairly dated is very good.
Twisted Tenderness is complete rubbish, apart from 2-3 songs, and i havent heard raise the pressure.
Close call but I will go Electronic, cos i need to hear monaco's 2nd album and there is more electronic material which i like as it stands now
ELECTRONIC! This is no contest, I guess it has a lot to do with Barney being in it. I love him and stuff! :p
I liked all three albums (the first one best and TT worst)
I like a few songs from Monaco but it doesn't hit the sweet spot like Electronic...

hardly ever listen to Monaco.....The first Electronic album was fuckin brilliant, even some of me mates liked it
All the way through it personifies brilliance (although Patience of a saint is beginning to do exactly what it says on the tin;) ) the 2nd album was slightly disappointing, but when you have classics such as Forbidden City and Second Nature - who gives a fuck? The last album is nearly as good as the debut IMHO....Haze, Vivid, Twisted Tenderness......classic album!
I'm not gonna knock Monaco - cos there are several of their songs I like...such as Happy Jack, Sweet lips and wdywfm....but fer me it's Electronic every time;)

Gotta go with what my ears tell me...hardly ever pick up an Electronic album up these days, no bass leaves it a bit too bubble gum for my tastes.
Monaco however have produced too cracking albums & not been reticent in taking it to their public. Saw em at The Astoria (with Marion as support) & it ended with Hooky on stage alone knocking out a bass solo to the adoring masses. Quality.
So Monaco it is for me.

has to be electronic.music for pleasure is a new order covers album,shine=run,sedona=elegia,sweet lips=world in motion,happy jack=regret.electronics debut was top and they have some brillant b-sides and instrumentals like free will,second to none.david potts v johhny marr that about sums it up really

Because they sound LIKE them, they aren't as good. Its pointless to even try. At least Electronic tries to be its own thing and not rely on past success.
