Just read that Alan Giles CEO of HMV has quit due to poor sales over the xmas period, that's 'cos your shops a shit, your customer service is shit, your internet service is shit and your staff are thick.

Not much to do with NO other than the farce of trying to get NO products from them, ie the singles poster.

I think you must be the only person who did! It took me three months, although now I do have 2 x poster and 2 extra copies of WFTSC/Temptation 7" and 1 extra copy of WFTSC/BLT 7" caused they fucked it up so many times!

Well did you read the original post regarding hmv?

Unfortunately hmv are "top dog for music" here in the uk. They really have the high street monopoly, not that i actually go on to the high street to buy my music these days!

Unfortunately britain is becoming like America with regard to the amount of money spent online.

I mean,i will always go to my local record/cd store (Barnsley ,s.yorks) as soon as a new order single/album is released.(unfortunately this just happens to be hmv)(incidently i have been rallying my local councilors for the last 10 years for us to have an h.m.v in our town of Barnsley), We did eventually get one, probably one of the smallest in the country!

But having said that, the wftsc 7's were my "first" proper Online purchase ,apart from promos on ebay.

I'm not bitter bout H.M.V, they are just fookin wank!

They did have a lot of trouble about the same time as the wftsc 7"s came out,the whole operation moved to jersey (uk)(must be for tax reasons!)

I did say in a post earlier that i would never set foot in an hmv again, but what choice do i have?

In my town we have 4 record shops: MVC - Soon to be shut down as they are in recievership Music Choice - horribly laid out shop! Woolies - Only albums -no singles

So there i am,its either H.M.V, or nothing.

I hate HMV...always far too busy, full of kids arsing about, far too expensive (total rip off infact), unless they have a 'sale'...if you know what you want, use the net! You get stuff delivered the Saturday before it is released sometimes, and pay no more than £8.99 for a new release, which is how it should be! All HMV is good for is 'browsing'!
