Anyone know the story behind a remix of Paradise which appeared a few years ago? It's not too dissimilar to the album version. Think it may have only been issued on vinyl.

Is it an official mix or a DJ mix (Razormaid, DMC etc)?

Killer track, by the way.

there is something called the Bouty mix, which incidently is the same as the Lost mix. it appeared on the Oz release of the 12" remixofd heck i forget which single that was, i think it was True Faith, ask CTB. He has the same single. apparently it is a unique made in Oz mix.

It's the Paradise (Robert Racic mix) you're after. Quite an old remix, first appeared on the Australian twelve inch of True Faith in 1987. It was recently reissued on CD as part of the Retro box set (Club - Disc 3) But has appeared on at least one bootleg I know of (Out of Order) as a vinyl rip.

It's a damn good mix and retains most of the original song's elements, pity the remixer Racic died a number of years ago.

Ron and Ally are on the money there; it is most likely the Robert Racic remix (the only official remix I think this song has had), which at the time ('87) I thought was great, but seems a little dated now. The late Racic did some work with an Australian group called Boxcar, who took no small inspiration from NO themselves (although I never was blown away with their output)

Interestingly, my 12" of TF remix doesn't list this track on the spine, and instead lists '1963', which doesn't appear on the disc at all.
