hey it's new enough for me. can't wait to get this comp. it's got a lot of re-worked classics and as far as i know, it's un-mixed and the vinyl release has the full lenght richard x mix of blt.

Yeah, I was gonna pick up the 'Community Service II' 2xLP but as you know with breaks compilations, when the initial HIGH wears off, all you have is a bunch of half-assed, half-year-old breaks tracks that don't do anybody any good.

This 'Future Retro' was supposed to come out in September but it was pushed back until January 24.

I think if you look in the news archives or something, you should be able to pull up the tracklisting for the 2xLP. Personally, I'll be buying both formats, this is the kind of s**t that the hipsters should be buying if they want to get educated.

...Howard Jones, Erasure, Yaz and INXS, what a crock!

A couple of classics there though, especially the B-Movie track, a very underrated band. I was always surprised they never quite made it... I can almost feel a 'top five post' coming on...!

Where would be the best place to pick up the Double Vinyl release of Future Retro? Being from the states and all, does not provide me with many knowledgeable options. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Seriously, I would check your local underground dance music shop. There should be one in Pittsburgh or Philadelphia.

A lot of these shops will do mail order and just charge you the usual $5-$6 to ship it Priority Mail. Some will even do free shipping if your order is over $100 (Satellite Records, NYC; The Drop Shop, Orlando, FL) so you just have to look.

Also, you can check eBay. I am sure they'll be a couple of copies up there in the next week or two.
