Will New order's forthcoming album coincide with the Joy division film?

Subject's self explanatory.

I mean is it a fluke the 2 is so close, I think the songs being made by NO will be on the Joy division's film.

What are the plans?

I was wondering the other day if the soundtrack to the Joy Division film will become New Order's next album somehow?

I mean, obviously the soundtrack to the JD film will feature the old classic JD songs in their original formats, but if New Order create some new tracks/instrumentals specifically for the soundtrack, will they go on the movie soundtrack album, or make up part of the new studio album (with the other seven new tracks recorded for WFTSC)?

Would be cool if this year there was the JD film soundtrack, featuring some new New Order instrumentals/tracks AND the new album - but somehow I doubt we'll see both. More likely the next studio album proper will be 2007, as this film will be due sooner.

We shall see!

i would like to see the songs NO made for the soundtrack on the forthcoming album or b-sides. But wait!!! NO dont like b-sides, hadnt seen a non remix sing since 1993

More than likely. Its too sonn after WFTSC. And No are busy with gigs supporting charities and the Biopic with ian curtis.

My theory:

When the 'Control' OST is released it will feature 90% NO studio recordings of JD songs and 10% some background incidental instrumental new NO stuff from the film.
