just over a year ago i listened to let's go (lyrics or not) over and over.

last spring it was dream attack.

last month i couldn't stop listening to GIAUE.

right now i have face up on repeat. and when it's not on repeat, it's in my head.

1963 lately, especially the "I just want to feel free" bit

Lets go (the vocal demo and instrumental) a while back, strangely enough

somehow i don't actually play single songs by themselves much these days. i usually just play the album through.

i have to admit to having repeated guilt quite a few times when the album came out. lately sirens has been repeated quite a few times. and in the car with singles disc two, here to stay usually gets two listens before i let the cd player move on to the next song.

every so often i find myself involutarily singing, or at least playing parts of certain new order songs in my head. these often include lines from perfect kiss, regret, run and more. that probably isn't a bad thing. ah crap now here to stay is in my head. ah well i'd better sit back and enjoy.

Lately it's been The Happy One - someone probably just nicked it off TOSOM's video and cleaned up the audio somehow for this version I've got, but regardless...

I'll be standing in line at the grocery, waiting for the line to clear out at the self-checkout and I'll start humming it. At the part where the bass kicks out in it, I can be lucky if I'm not swaying in time to it, Mr. Bean style.

My last.fm page says I have played "Turn" 33 times and "The Him" @ 22, followed closely with "Your Silent Face" with 21 plays.

Though, that's only whatever I've played while on the computer, and whenever I actually listen to music on the computer. The last song I remember rotating for a very long time on repeat on a normal cd player was "I Told You So".

Mesh and Cries and Whispers recently, both appeared close together on shuffle on my i-Pod and have been repeated several times since then, I find I do get obsessed with this period of NO - it was Procession when Singles came out... And Krafty when WFTSC came out...

Most times I'm obsessed with Such A Good Thing. There were "months" of Confusion, Jetstream (remixes!!), Video 586.

The Perfect Kiss didn't leave my turntable for months on end in 1985 and 1986. That record can still have that effect on me. Latterly, I've had Confusion and Procession on repeat throughout the day.

When I started to get into NO last October, I was very obssessed with "True Faith". When I downloaded Rhapsody Free 25, I listened to "Sunrise." Now, with the NOOL Radio, I got possessed by "This Time of Night" and "Vanishing Point".

I had a period of Face Up when I saw that guy's quote that was familiar to the lyrics, barely listened to it before. It was Sunrise a while back when I heard Digital perform it and Wasim saying it was his favourite song. It's been Run lately, just fucking love that song. I must say in the last day, it's been Ceremony, being my second favourite song after Atmosphere which I played a few times today.

Currently for me it's the WFTSC-Tribute Remix. Just an overall excellent mix which includes sound bits from other NO songs worked in seamlessly. But in the last few days it's been Confusion (Electroclash Version). I like Barney's "ooooo oooo's" in that one for some reason.

Before that was the Happy One (Excerpts from Recycle version) because it was the first time I've heard it in its entirety. It's a very catchy tune and I find myself humming it at work.

And before that was Ecstasy. Something about the hi-hats in that song and vocalization keeps me focused on whatever I'm doing. That whole song has a nice warped sound to it, if that makes any sense?

Last month it was Sooner Than You Think. Now It is The Village.

Blue Monday. The perfect kiss. Temptation.

These are the three songs I've obsessed over the most; I don't know what it is but I find them almost hypnotic...

I also tend to play albums all the way thru' nowadays from beginning to end, whilst i'm doing something else...

Its often been HURT for me,

but also some weird ones - like Perfect Pit - the 1minute percussion based instrumental on the B side of perfect kiss - I played that to death many times!

True Faith BLT Krafty YSF

Ecstasy, melancholy, reflection, joy.

Everything you could ask for in these songs and others as well.

the Dan Macquie(??) remix of GIAUE. so much better and layered version over the album mix. love it.

i reckon WFTSC would be a great song if it was mixed better too. The producers on WFTSC album really sucked.

for me it's leave me alone...and pretty much all of power corruption and lies.

These days, I've been obsessed with "Dream Attack" and "Crystal".

Unrelenting obsessions with BLT and Face Up.

Special means something to me at times. On occasions, certain songs will just sort of jump out and hit me.

When WFTSC came out, I played 'Turn' constantly on repeat. That is still the standout track for me on the album.

This sounds in no way corny but 60 MILES AN HOUR is great on repeat when you're driving.

"The Perfect Kiss" has become grafted to the inside of my brain lately. It's spot on for walking from the bus.
