Steve's probably prepared for that, knowing his interest in military equipment.

Well, it wasn't actually one of my goals in life to met them.. but once you do met them, you have to do all you can to don't look like a groupie and don't look too stupid when asking question.
Believe me, that is actually hard ;) Might be a little easier when it's not in the morning and sober, but still ;)

Actually, I agree, though. It's also easier to not be in rabidfan mode when you're under 18 and it's viewed as "cute" and "endearing" as opposed to "stark raving mad".
I mean, I got a head pat, after all. Couldn't be all fangirly with a head pat. It was like I was a kid. ![]()
My wifes cousins brother went to school with Steven, and knows him well. Ive asked for an introduction but the link is just too tenuous. My wifes cousin told me this when I was at my father in-laws reading Touching from a Distance. She was married to a footballer, but is now divorced. (the cousin that is not my wife)
I also bumped into Hooky once at the Hacienda in 1988. He was propping up the bar with the Happy Mondays. I had to get past him to order a drink. I just said 'excuse me pal', and he said 'no problem mate'.

Maybe we just do things differently in the States (certainly in Appalachia), but wouldn't your wifes' cousin's brother also be your wife's cousin?
But I want to meet Steven you don't understand how importand he is to me. I look just like him
we could be brothers I swear. I love Steven! I love Steven! I love Steven!! Sorry if I sound like a baby
but I love Steven!!!

It's not a baby that you sound like....

if you go to a hooky DJ gig you're bound to at least meet hooky. you could try that way, as mentioned above.

I met Hooky in 97, and he patted me on the head after our short conversation in which I said I was an inspired fan.
Then my friend and I went on to get very drunk and Monaco's concert became a blur to me.
But - yeah - as long as you're not completely mental the best way to meet Hooky is at a DJ gig. He even sits off to the side to see if he'll have anyone come up. He won't bite. :p
Or, if you're really deranged and stalkerish, you could always go and look around the Macclesfield area looking at farms and seeing if any of them have tanks in the 'garden'.
Don't be too surprised if he's not keen when you meet him though.
I'd want to meet Barney, but I'm not particulaurly fussed about meeting them. I'll just worship them in my golden New Order shrine like a normal person...ahem.![]()
