Don't really see how you can have WIM as a most overrated moment, it's rating is that it's arguably the best football song ever - and that means bugger all. It was never a serious attempt anyway.

Technique. I like it and all (and was completely caught up in them in the summer of '89), but can't see how anyone would rate it their favorite NO album. My moods swing and it never cracks my top 3. Plus it sounds dated.

WFTSC (the whole LP) - New Order by numbers with the exception of the excellent Who's Joe. Never much liked Fine Time either.
Bizarre Love Triangle - By 1986, there was already enough music groups starting to sound like this. "Brotherhood" would have worked better as EP containing only side 1.
Movement - Hailed as a classic by all the gothy kids, but overall, I think it's just the group running out of ideas. The singles and b-sides from this era are much better in my opinion, not to mention that wonderful 82 Peel session.
WFTSC - I'm really loving the album musically, but these lyrics are like fifth grade poetry. Barney has never sounded this apathetic and impersonal since "World in Motion"

In other words, the "Perfecto Mix", which yes, just about everything that Paul Oakenfold puts his hands on should be thrown in a trash compacter.
However, when I saw them last year in Oakland CA, it seemed like most of that live mix, including the those cheesy backup vocals, were gone.

Best album they have done, they wil never reach that high again
I'd have to say Turn - it's nice enough to listen to, but the best I can say about it is that it's innocuous - it just doesn't stir any emotions in me. I find it really surprising that someone would rate it as one of NO's best ever songs, when you consider the back catalogue it's up against.
Electronic Ecstasy/Reading 1993 recording.
Technically spot-on with good recording quality, but none of that can improve a soulless performance by a tired group.

And quite a few who were, from memory, I've heard at least 4 people say it was their favourite ever gig. Wasn't it the last time we heard the vintage versions of TF and BLT? In hindsight it was the last real New Order performance and my first. Hold's a special memory.
Godamn Bizarre Love Triangle. The Shep Pettibone remix is the only New Order track in north america everybody and their grandma knows and loves but it's by far the cheesiest thing they've ever done.
It wasnt bad for its time but its the track that have cemented 'New Order' with 'cheesy 80s synth-pop' in most people's minds.
The full version of Elegia is pretty pointless, but the album version? Nice atmosphere and works well as the beginning of Side 2 of Low-Life... Personally I have never really got into the whole remix thing - I can't really get excited about a particular mix being released... So, remixes (and specifically which ever particular mix is being anticipated/raved about at any given time), have to be the most overrated thing about NO...
