I've just recently bought a re-issue of their album From the Hip, released on Les Temps Modernes, and there are some quite comprehensive sleeve notes about them though it doesn't say, what, if anything their up to at the moment.
They do have a website section25.com but it looks like it hasn't been updated for a while.
Apparently Crispy Ambulance are recording new stuff with Graeme Massey of 808 State fame. They also have a website crispyambulance.com
Perhaps we should campaign for a anniversery of Factory in the Park :D
section 25 have re released all there old stuff on ltm from the hip is the best and they also have a great live album from 1985 and an album of old demos. www.section25.com

Factory in the Park was in big tent in Finsbury Park '87 and featured the Order, ACR, Mondays and Railway Children. There was Cities in the Park with Electronic but I can't remember whether it was a Martin Hannett tribute or not.
But round about this time saw ACR ('90/'91) play at the International and they dedicated Flight to Hannett.
"From The Hip" is the best Section 25 album (produced by Bernard Sumner), but "Love & Hate" is a good pick for New Order fans as well. Lots of sequencers, keyboards and electronic beats. This album is very New Order-ish but it's not a rip-off, Section 25 had their own personality.

Are Section 25 actually worth listening to, or are you all just getting teary-eyed about your lost youth?
I have to agree that From The Hip, Love & Hate and the new live LP are very good listening, but I don't think you'll ever crave popping in one of those discs the same that way that you do a NO record.
IMHO, I'd put them in the same catagory as Cabaret Voltaire, some very original and great tunes to listen to every now and then, but not likely something you'd want to hear everyday.

From The Hip is pretty good and there are some decent mixes of Looking from a Hilltop. The other additional 12"'s that are on the CD are not that great to be honest.
The Cabs CD with all the 12" releases on it is well funky.
is their old stuff hard to get? i fancy buying one of their albums,probably the one with "looking.. on it
"Looking From A Hillttop" comes from the album "From The Hip" - the one that broke them into the US electro scene. It's their best I think - and you can get it on LTM (Les Temps Modernes) as it's just been reissued for a second time with a few extra tracks on it (another mix of "Hilltop" included amongst them...).
Look out for a strange cover featuring a craggy mountain with lots of little coloured poles going up it.
"From The Hip" cover is really interesting. There is a colour code in the poles created by Peter Saville and the colours actually spell out "From The Hip".
And the album is quite good as well. :)

There's actually another band currently doing the live rounds as 'Section 25' but it's not THE original Section 25. They played the Garage in Highbury recently...
