How much is True Faith CDV worth?

it is nice to have. especially for evil dust. well i since have that somewhere else as well. i just bought mine as i would any other NO single when new, and wondered why it cost a couple of bucks more than a normal cd single.
wouldn't surprise me if the vid on my single is actually better than what appears on collection.

I *think* that it's because it's harder to find - certainly, I didn't bother picking it up at the time, although I did pick up the True Faith CDV...
It's also got a unique/exclusive edit of "Blue Monday 88" on there (4:09), of which I'm not sure if this is the version that was recently released on "Singles", or not?

i noticed that the older vids on collection seem to be taken form a less than perfect video source. i figure that a perfectly preserved vid would have to be better, then again i have never actually been able to play that vid.
Yeah, I'd agree with £30 - £50. I seem to remember the BM88 wasn't as easy to get hold of at the time as True Faith, and also BM88 had a regular CD single release as well where TF did not. I assume the number of BM88 CDV's pressed was probably fairly limited.

yeah figure you'd be lucky to get £50 for it.
i ordered mine & you could still order bm88 cdv at the time. so i did.
but never went back to collect it.

Don't know very much about those CDVs, but I understand that the video portion of them was magnetic, not digital, so perhaps they aren't perfectly preserved! I know regular DVD players won't play them, so it would make sense for them not to be digital.
The "exlusive" mix of Blue Monday on the CDV is hardly different at all - probably just an alternate pass of the seven inch version on the mixing desk, that was put on there by mistake. There's justa few extra layers of synths (that can be heard in BM88 12" version) during the intro. Very subtle difference.

I'm probably going to piss everyone off now, but I bought BM88CDV off ebay about a year ago for a fiver (incl. postage). The seller had it on a £2.49 buy it now. Once I'd double-checked the image I snapped it up. Just goes to show, ebay does have its bargains sometimes. Trouble is, I can't be arsed to surf it every day in case I miss out on them. Saw a 7" Confusion promo (not the coloured vinyl ones, the rarer plain vinyl UK one) go for 99p the other month, but was too late to bid on it. Gutted!

They can only be played on a laser disc player or a CD Video player. Who really wants to fork out over 100 pounds on a second hand player for this? This is why I have the Technique DAT and no DAT player.
