Jack, Peter Hook's son and his band are currently looking at a place to record their song for the Community contest.

Is there anybody who have access to such place? If so, let us know (or him know) and we'll put you forward.

Thanks.

Perhaps the Morrises can give you a decent rate on a room out Macclesfield way?

Maybe we should drop the request to.....

Anyone in Manc gotcubase, a mixer, half a dozen half decent mics and a relatively anechoic room big enough for a drumkit?

Cant you just hire a studio? Blueprint studios is a good one.

Just do the whole thing in your bedroom with some software and a microphone.

You'd never get twatto to play one drum at a time ;)

But yeah...some mics and a mixer attached to the old Home PC would do the trick..... if he wouldnt get strung up by his ma for it ;)

Looks like we are gonna do it in my dad's basement with the legend that is Roger and of course my dad helping out with some stuff.

I don't think my dad has asked Roger yet though, Roger if you see this then would you be willing to come down to my dads and chill with my band while we attempt at covering a new order song for the tribute album??? :shades:

I'll do a oldMonkey of myself and say..

"What chances do other have if Roger Lyons is actually producing their track"

Glad to hear Jack, let us know the status, we REALLY want to hear your song.

Or better yet...what if Jack got his pa to play on the track...a New order tribute album with one of the members of the band on one of the tracks...

now that is just crazy enough to work!!!

I thought I whined louder than Tim about that sort of thing. At least Jack's a NOOLer irrespective of who he else he may be. Besides...if Roger tried to do this in the full on pro-stylee.....we'll not see Jack's track before C3 :D

Sneaky bass parts would be bad tho!!!!!

Maybe we could allow some guesting as "P.Hook...syndrum destruction"

PS:more likely Hooky gets Jack to fill in a few No parts on for him soon cos the old bollox cannae hack the weight of basses anymore.

I'll get me coat.

It's not gonna be some amazing professionally done track or anything like some people are obviously thinking. me and the other 2 guys in my band don't know anything about recording or computer stuff or producing or whatever, we just know how to play our instruments.

that's why I asked my dad to give us a hand with the technical side of the track like recording it and anything that needs to be done with computers. but it turned out he thinks i would be best asking roger about all that because he's well better than my dad at all that kinda stuff.

that's all. so quit worrying, it will probably be shite anyway.

From what I read of his work on BM, RL could cut a good take outta any old shite :D Course, the worse you suck the longer it'll take, so the moral is....don't suck :D

Free tip....pass on to the other two as I'll credit you with half a clue. When someone in the control room says stop playing......stop playing, and stay stopped, don't noodle. And get Twatto to sit on his hands when the kit's being mic'd up so he doesn't blow anyone's ears out :D (probably best to keep a fire extinguisher and a butterfly net around for the Geeeee -Tarr man as well from what you've said :D )
