that every time I hear a new order choon on the radio, I get just a wee bit excited???

FFS...I got True Faith on what, 3 different CDs...but when it came on the radio on the way home tonight (well...this morning) I made Stephanie turn the radio up, much to the displeasure of the other passenger...

Is it just me, or do you cats get this way as well?

exactly the same, my wife does get a bit fed up of it as well.

Can't explain why, it just puts a smile on my face.

Good...I was afraid that maybe I was the only silly one that went...OH...whan a song that I've heard hundreds (if not thousands) of times does sneak it's way on the radio...

No... you're definitely not alone... The worst thing for me is when a NO track appears on a TV programme... the missus now knows by my reaction that it's becuase of the Order... Whenever I go "Hey!" during a programme, her reaction is now "New Order?" even if there's no music on... I must be so predictable...

Heh heh. The radio station I listen to in the morning uses New Order for the background music to the traffic report.

So every morning at 8:20am I hear the opening chords to Regret. And every morning I go "hurray New Order on the radio" in my head.

I think it's because they were excluded from radio/tv airplay for such a long time this side of the pond.

I experience somthing similar that makes no sense... There are movies I've seen many, many times - I might even have them on tape or DVD, but when it's airing on TV I'm 'OH!!! Goodfellas is on! Let's watch it!' even though the tape has been sitting at the back of my closet for years, just waiting to be watched anytime I please.

Musically, they don't get me going like that, but just a minor sniff of a possible gig and I'm reworking my entire life in my head trying to figure out the best way to get there, come rain or shine!

I do the same thing as well, usually cause I've either been listening to an "alternative" station and I've been inundated with the entire back catalog from the Foo Fighters and Chili Peppers, or at the office, and I've been suffering along with the latest crap from Mariah and God-knows who else. They still sound totally brilliant and fresh in such company, and as such, the volume gets cranked. Up. Loud.

It's just that fans like us know what the NO trademark sounds are in our minds, but it's so much better to hear it on the air.
