I *think* that's it? The italic ones differ in time to those released, so can't comment, as don't have any of them yet (my next trip to London)! :)

Got mine from the HMV at Trocadero last night. They had plenty in stock (but watch out - some have slightly bent covers) and did the "three for a tenner" thing without any problems. If you can't find them anywhere else (the not-too-far-away Oxford Street store, for example), then you could do worse than check it out.

I wonder why they didn't just sell the 12x12"s as a set inside a box for £40 the lot anyway?

can someone post reviews of the unreleased mixes? i heard the tocadisco remixes of Regret and was not impressed. they were sounded too different from the original for my taste.

Ok, I have two SERIOUS questions:

  1. This is the first OFFICIAL outing of the 10-minute version of SLY (James Holden HEavy Dub) right? Most, if not all of the SLY CD-r's that came out in '01 only had the 6:54 version.

  2. J-E-T (Pete Heller Vocal Remix) IS or IS NOT the same as the (Pete Heller Remix - Phela Dub)?? The latter was commercially released and DOES have a full vocal. Are these mixes the same?

Please help a brother out and verify these two things.

The 10 minute James Holden Heavy Dub has been available on the 9 track 60 Miles an Hour Promo CDR and the Greek Someone Like Your CDR since 2001. The version on the CD single is edited down to 6:54 as you say.

It's probably a mislabel on the US Jetstream Maxi-CD. If you listen the iTunes/12x12" Phela Vox it's very similar to the US Maxi-CD Phela Dub bar a few subtle differences in the mix. The iTunes-only Phela Dub would seem to be an exclusive to the online store.

Yes, telling the Phela mixes apart is a sodding nightmare  I have a US promo CDR with two further mixes including a Pete Heller Dub #2 and a Bonus Dub. I've haven't gotten around to spotting the differences yet but they all sound very similar!

Thanks, Alistair. I appreciate your help.

I haven't heard the other Pete Heller mixes (although I'll have to track them down sometime) but it seems as if the one on the US CD Single is the best one anyway.

As has been mentioned by a couple of other posters on other threads, the Dave Clarke mix of EGG is different to the version that was released on "The Rest Of.." The vocals are the correct way round.

The sleeves are a bit flimsy, I picked up 3 last night, and by the time i got home on the rush hour tube my Planet Funk WFTSC had a small tear on the sleeve. Dang! They're also gonna show any stains/ fingerprints/whatever really easily so if you're getting them in a shop you might want to do so before all the grubby punters have mauled them. In fact I'm gonna get some PVC sleeves for these things. It's the only way.

Presumably it's a typo on the rear sleeve for WFTSC Filterheadz mix, they call it Waiting for *A* Sirens call, whilst the front of the sleeve says... *The* Sirens call.

i think I'm now a fully fledged anal retentive!

about the dave clarke mix of EGG..

i wonder if the original version of that mix on the vinyl 'rest of' was mastered incorrectly?

or do you think this is a new and different 'corrected' version?
