What are 'Community Points'?!

Spotnick's got them next to his name, and I'm sure I've seen others.
Nothing to do with "Care in the Community then"?! ![]()
Well, it's a way to encourage members of NOOL to VOTE for Community 2...
So 1 vote = 1 point.
Some people claim this project doesn't represent the NOOL Community too much, but the biggest impact is that the selection of the tunes must be done by the members.
By adding this total I hope it will influence a little more people to take the time to vote... ;)
Cheesy? Rubbish? Maybe... Let's say I did that pretty quick but I had a better design idea at first ;)

I will have a proper look at the Community forum the morra and pledge the Scottish votes from England ;)
I promise you your share of surprises along the way... ;)
I'm very surprised by the quality of the submissions we got... it's even better than the first Community!
I strongly suggest to listen to the podcasts, it enhances the experience ;)
Bollocks..
I thought it was a measure of coolness.
Ah well, whatever the measure....
You dont get any cooler than me ![]()

I was always quite fond of that whole secret ballot thing, myself. Had a certain dignity to it. Perhaps I'm just old-fashioned.

It's secret FOR NOW... votes will be revealed when it will be over ;)

Nominations please...
There has been a thread on BCD over the past few days featuring the lovely Charlotte Church's Community Chest... She has my nomination... Oh, and where can I spend my Community points?

It's called 'For all adolescent males...', near the bottom of the most recent page of BCD threads... Not that I've been paying too much attention to it or anything...

charlotte church thread
It's made it's way onto the main NO board! Although with a very tenuous link to the original thread... She does have very nice 'COmmunity Points' though... :)

"Community Points", sound pretty New Labour to me. And yes, what happened to the secret ballot? Great thing about neworderonline forum is that you can pop in as and when you please without this bleedin' insistence on some sort of ranking. So what if somebody's posted 22,000 times on the forum. Does it mean you're a better New Order fan than the rest of us or some sad tawt who never leaves their PC. Not that I'm casting any aspertions but I've just read a shitty thread where some guy's been destroyed after 4 posts because he had the temerity to ask which was the better band - JD or NO? So what if the question was a little niave. In the words or Lard, "no need!" Give the guy his head and let him get on with it.
On a lighter note: NO babe I just lurve your avatar. Quite right about Bananarama. That Keren Woodward was sex on legs, and still looks a stunner at 80-odd or however old she is now. Beats baggy Charlotte Church any day!

remember, this place is run by canadians and they've gone all bonkers now, just like we did in 2001. big brother is watching you! ![]()

Bit 'arsh. I only asked what Community Points were. And I think you'll find the majority of the uber-posters across these forums are the people who probably most posters here know personally. I include myself in that lot. So we do leave our PC's at some point, thanksverymuch. If only to go to New Order gigs!

Same thing!!!
Run by Canadians?! No wonder my bleedin' Manc dropping is getting nowhere!!!
As for being harsh, maybe. But I drop in every couple of weeks, take a look around and make a few comments. As I said I'm not casting any aspertions, but just because I've only posted 100-odd times doesn't mean I'm some part-timer.
Look, we only got electricty in Manc back in 1997. We've had computers since a week last Wednesday...
:computer3:
:confused3:
I've now got a Community Point! Am I now entitled to benefits, a council flat and a free Humans Right lawyer? ![]()

New Labour are Communists? Wow.
I'll be stuck on 1 Community Point for a while as I have no speakers on this PC.
Shame, 'cause I am truly stuck behind it until next weekend. Won't be back in time to participate, which I'm sorry about. Could someone send me an email and describe the contestants in the Turn vote? I'm particularly looking out for cheesyness of the synth sounds and real bass guitar. Slowing the thing right down and doing half-asleep vocals will also influence my descision.

It is a secret ballot until the poll is closed, true. Nothing changed there. Community Points states if you have voted, not for who you voted.
