So what versions of confusion have been released on cd?

Original 12" + rough mix + confused instr. + confused beats (confused instr on substance cd2, is it rough mix or original on retro?, one of them never released on cd?)

confusion 87 on substance, confusion dub 87 on touched cd single

pump panel recon. mix on rest of, floatation mix on the cd single.

DMC mix on substance abuse.

confusion 90, 4 versions, none ever on cd?

confusion 2002, four full versions on vinyl, 4 edits on original cd, different edit of koma and bones on retro, yet another version on recent vinyl release

an edit of one of the original versions on 'singles' (which version is it?)

video edit of some sort on ld or dvd or something?

Well, this is shocking now I list them all out (CD and vinyl versions): as far as I am aware, there are a grand total of 37 commercially released mixes of Confusion! I guess it surpasses Blue Monday in the remix department. I always thought it was better suited for being remixed, although the Blade version is pretty awful.

There's also the version on the Perfect Beats Volume 2 compilation from 1998. It's a 5:24 edit of the 1983 Rough Mix.

Jeez, its worse than I thought... thanks for the definitive list. to think all I actually wanted was the original 12" tracks on cd, now 20 years on we have 10zillion mixes and still don't have that.
