I'm just glad to see the 3 songs off Technique that should have been singles (Mr. Disco, Vanishing Point, and Dream Attack) making their way through in this NO Cup thing. To me, New Order has never sounded more....optimum.

Either could be a surprise winner. Vanishing Point especially

I remember seeing em at the SECC in 89, they started with Mr Disco and someone trod on the back of my shoe and I lost it, fo the first couple of songs.

Good tarck, and also Vanishing point is a classic jump up and down tune.

Also would like to see "Guilty Partner" makes it way through. The melody that kicks in near the end (moody keyboard riff) gives a real somber feel to the song. You could tell Bernard was really hurting in that one. Pretty much a eulogy to a dying relationship, but as there is some wishful-thinking type lyrical content in the song:

I'm not some kind of foolish lover I couldn't take this from no other You're not being cool with me 'cause I always know you'll come back to me Yes, you'll come back to me

the keyboards at the expand on that hope.

Technique may be the last album in which the title of tracks were not mentioned in the songs/lyrics except for Vanishing Point which includes "point of no return" (half-mentioned) but I may be wrong.

Aside from Fine Time, every single track was wholeheartedly great!
