Ian's and Barney's voices are so different, and I love them both, but I voted for Ian. His approach to singing was unorthodox, but that, and the fact that what he was singing was so real to him, are what make it so powerful. And I love that baritone timbre!
But I do love Barney's voice so!

A similar thing happened when my mom heard "I Remember Nothing." (We were both music majors in college.) I tend to be (hyper)sensitive to pitch too, but I can always forgive Ian and Bernard if they're not right on pitch for some reason!
