Looks like the Earthcore events have secured (what must be) Hooky's services for their dance party events late November in VIC and early Dec in QLD.

VICTORIA 24-26 NOVEMBER

QUEENSLAND 1-3 DECEMBER

Nice one. Perhaps he can bring the rest of the band as roadies.

i find it hard to believe that Hooky would DJ at a 'Hard Trance Rave'.

But if true, then maybe New Order will be at one of the many festivals on around this time of the year.

Can only hope, as i will doubt i will go to Earthcore again ever( sick of being covered in Mud and Dirt for a 3 days of 'off yer face' stuff ) :)

Odd.

I've requested further info from the promoters so stay tuned.

What is this festival? Where in Queensland is it? Do you reckon he would come to Aus and only play those sets or DJ somewhere else? I'll be 18 then, so I can go! Waaaaaahhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MIL - the festival is EARTHCORE - its basically a 3 day rave (refer links above)

Ive been doing some checking on festivals around this time of the year, no news of NEW ORDER though.

SPLEANDOUR ON THE GRASS - looks like Arctic Monkeys will be headlining.

OK, a three day rave... probably not going to be attending that as a debut into rave culture. Don't think any of my friends will come with me and I ain't goin to that alone... it sounds rather scary. But I'd be there with bells on if he performed at a club!

Just heard back from the promoters. Confirmed that it is Hooky and he is apparently exclusive to this event. Seems strange he's not doing anything in Sydney though.

Earthcore encompasses all sorts of music styles these days - the Carnival will feature techno, house, breaks, hard dance, trance, psy, chill out, drum n bass, rock, hip-hop, funk etc - you've just pointed out one of the major misconceptions about the festival just being trance within the mainstream audience.Every year, Earthcore has a major feature act. Last year it was Perry Farrell, and this year Hook's set WILL BE an exclusive for Earthcore.

Hi there, Rococo Mick...thanks!:) ....been busy changing nappys for my 3-month old baby girl Madison...and I've already bombarded her with NO noise while shes sitting comfortably in her rocker :D ...the only good thing being woken up at 2am by her is that I can then stay awake, log onto Ebay and try outbid some dude in Zurich or Chorley :D

Actually that COLORCALM DVD is very good for settling baby to sleep....but I find the Michael Nyman's number is more soothing though than NO's Elegia.
