PERFECT KISS MIX

What is the difference between the Perfect Kiss live video mix from Retro, and the, erm, live video mix from the video !!?? I hear they are different !

TV/video is always fake...the live performance in the video is only one take they made that day....they had to play the song over and over until all the shots were done. The one on retro is simply another one of the goes they took at the tune.

An addition to what Steve said, is that an edit of the live/video mix appeared on a US promo-only 12" single. This was also (relatively) recently released via UK iTunes as part of the "Best Remixes" album (which I had forgotten about until today)! :)

...an "Album" in the very loosest sense of the word (i.e. not available as a hard copy anywhere!).

Also worth noting is the video live version of the track is stereo, but the alternate take on disc 5 of 'Retro' is mono, oddly.

Just Google 'New Order Best Remixes', and you can see it on the first page.

actually, the version on the us 12" is an edit. the full version is still only on the cd, and download as you mentioned.

by the way, thanks FtotheDoubleOff, i just didn't look hard enough, actually they mentioned that was also listed somewhere here on this site.
