Anyone remember NewOrder2Order day??

Who remembers this event on radio 1 from back in 1993???

Basically Radio1 devoted an ENTIRE day to NewOrder :D with exclusive plays of tracks from Republic, interviews with the band members and other guests talking about NewOrder (the usual PSB type groups) and competitions all through the day including one to star in their Ruined In A Day video :)

I remember taking the day off college to listen to this and spent half the day on the phone trying to get through with no avail.. :( i even called up BT to get them to auto connect me!! Also tried to tape the entire thing but gave up after about 6tapes!!!

There was also a documentary called "How Does It Feel" by John Peel around the same time which i managed to record.

Was anyone from this board lucky enough to win any of the exclusive prizes during this NewOrder2Order day??

I bunked the day off sixth form to listen to it. Also never got through, and my finger got very sore. I also taped the John Peel interview. You can't see Radio1 holding any thing like that again. Sum 41 maybe would have a day dedicated to them in todays nu-metal epidemic. Well nevermind.
