Sky 1's like Crystal.... Oooh-Oooooh!!!

Having flicked over and seen the advert on Sky 1 trailering their new schedules with the backing music of Crystal no less than 3 times yesterday during prime time about 4,8 and 9pm Not only must NewOrder be pulling in some healthy royalties but their tradition of being a favourite band for tv (especially BBC) trailers continues unabated!!

• I also heard Blue Monday on UK living as well, i've forgotton the trailer but of course rememebered the song :)

Lets hope NewOrders music continues to get prime time airing on TV channels!! I think its great that their music is considered so appealing that it helps sell television programmes above many other prominant artists of the generation !!!

Sky changed it from Crystal to some crap shite and now its gone back to crystal again. Its on all the time. And everytime it's on i feel compelled to air guitar my ass off.

The Beeb seem to like to use the Order a fair bit too don't they? Crystal was used for one of the novelty hospital series' trailers and other things besides, i'm sure i've heard others as well - ooh and of course there was the theme to common as muck or whatever the binmen thin was.

Perhaps theres some NewOrder fans pulling the strings in the advertising departments of these TV stations??!!!!

Yeah, there's someone at the Beeb who's been using snippets of Order stuff for 15 years or so. Love Vigilantes, Age of Consent, Elegia, Perfect Kiss, Crystal, Green Tuesday, Primitive Notion, Vanishing Point......the list goes on. ITV used to use Regret for their live Sunday afternoon game theme back in 93-94. Best and Marsh was written as a TV theme as well.

The theme music for 'Reportage' on BBC2 was done by the other two.

My bets are that a NewOrder song will appear somwhere during the World Cup coverage on TV this summer....

Yes, they'll do a build up for the England v Argentina game, play the clip from 86 and use Touched By The Hand Of God. Or is that too fecking obvious even for the BBC?
