I've finally managed to track down a copy of this elusive little bugger and what a gem it is to.

I thought I'd got hold of the True Faith VCD but someone beat me to it.

However for anyone who's interested Evil Dust is included on a Cleopatra Records compilation called Future Wave. The only downside is that the rest of the CD looks absolute garbage and I have no intention of listening to any of the rest of it.

Apparently it was also on the Salvation soundtrack under the title Salvation theme, based on the Muffmaster's discs.

Salvation Theme is a completely different track. Evil Dust is not on the vinyl version of Salvation, perhaps it was on the CD but I'm not sure.

No it wasn't - the New Order songs on Salvation CD were:

  • Salvation Theme
  • Skullcrusher
  • Let's Go
  • Sputnik
  • Touched by the Hand of God

Sorry Patrick, I must've mis-named it on the cd. :smoking:

No problem, Muffy. But Evil Dust is on there, is it not?

As far as I can remember, yes. I certainly MEANT to include it. You should be able to tell, it's just a different mix of Angel Dust from brotherhood and they sound very similar. If it's not on there i'll send it to you easy peasy! Snail me.

It is on your disc, Muffy, after Let's Go (Demo). Thanks again for all that wonderful stuff.

I have these little gems on MP3 and CD, dunno if they are hard to get hold of or not, I remember downloading them off an old NO web site in 1997, I think it was called Dry 201, they had a fab MP3 section, I got my Electronic Ecstacy bootleg from there in its entirety.

anyway, the tracks I have are as follows:

Vicious Circle (Haas Mix) Spooky (ripped from a CD ay the actual DRY 201 bar in Manc) Vanishing Point (Making out Mix) World in Motion 1996 version Best and Marsh Cries and Whispers Lets Go (unreleased version) MTO Ceremony (slow version) In A Lonely Place (different version apparently) Paradise (12") Salvation Sputnik Skullcrusher World in Motion (Keith Allen on vox) Sunkist Ad Regret (Top of the pops) Evil Dust Don't Do It 586 (extremely long version) Perfect Pit Lets Go (instrumental) Touched (12")

SO, are these rare? dunno, must have been on the singles, but singles are pretty hard to get hold of aren't they?

Do you reckon that the much-discussed and long-promised-but-never-delivered New Order box set is now a lost cause? I'm beginning to think so. :(

It's worth tracking down the true faith CDV if possible. The third track is listed as True Faith 7", but it's not the regular single version, it's an edit of the remix which was a US release not generally available over here.

Am I alone in thinking that the Vanishing Point Instrumental Making Out mix is just overwhelmingly beautiful?
