I have access to MTV and MTV2 tonight for the first time in months, anyone have an idea as to when they might run the Here to Stay video? I was gonna listen to the 30 minute smaples, but the speakers on the computer are broke, dammit....anyway, let me know if you can.

I checked the "current playlist" last night, no dice. They didn't even have it listed, so I imagine they haven't got it yet......fucking assholes, the lot of 'em.

Well, to be fair the quality control has been notably lacking on some videos (Shellshock is just a loose assemblage of footage from the Perfect Kiss shoot repackeged for another song, imho), but the sheer power of the Cyrstal vid makes me hope HTS is as good.

Well, I decided to order HTS from a local shop, I okayed his suggestion to get an import copy. Which leads to my next question: Is HTS out in the UK yet?

Tabsy, it's not out here till April 1st, officially at least. :smoking:

I'm sure that's much earlier than any proposed US release date, so I'll take my chances with the UK version (when it becomes available)

I quite like this vid Muffy, sort of atmospheric. The only place I've seen the video, and this is 3 or 4 times, is a channel called MTV dance. Dunno if you have it over there?

Which is normal, it's not released in the US...!

Warner didn't send any promo tape then.. so it won't show up until it's released in the US.

If it does well on the UK charts, if might happen...

yes Tabsy...unfortunatley, you probably don't remember when MTV was actually decent enought to play videos from bands that we could stomach...back when they first came on the air (when was it...81 or 82...can't quite remember), there were very few American made vids...so we were bombarded with all sorts of vids from the UK...and it was good...and then, even when MTV started to get bad...at least they would give us 120 minutes...now...I just wish they would toss me a bone every now and then..

I got an idea...you know...I have a channel called ESPN classic, that simply shows old sporting events....

maybe we could get MTV to do the same thing...

I remember, way back in 87...when I could see the True Faith video every couple of hours...could it be possible, to see it just once...every now and then...hmmm...probably not...
