Seeing as it's Easter, here's an Easter Egg from Digital, a version of Atmosphere we recently recorded. This features Doggy on bass, Philip Collins on keyboards, Jon Stubley on drums and me on vocals/guitar. We hope you like it.

Speaking of Digital, why doesn't the drummer like playing Sister Ray? I can't remember what he said last summer why you only played a bit of it.

It's a really boring track to play - and can last as long as you like. The Velvets played it for up to 45 minutes, New Order have done it as short as a minute. Ours was about 4 mins I think, more than long enough! Never again - you witnessed something historic!
Talking of gigs, we are playing the Cartoon in Croydon on July 14th (typical, the Order are in Spain that night), and hopefully will have one or two before that gig, and there are already others booked for later in the year.

Any chance of a gig in late summer/autumn? Probably gonna take a quarter off and go back to England then.
Atmosphere... very nice. You lose points for the complete absence of whoops though.
We're playing September 13th as well, and there will be others around August/September time.

If it's the same one as on the podcast it's fucking great with one serious (if entirely minor in the great scheme of things)complaint.......
.....you need a fly swat or Jockey's crop to slap someone's fingers off that reverb send knob...or buy a lexicon and use as much as you like, but I can hear the processing all over a lot of instruments particularly the toms, and reverb shouldn't be audible as a distinct thing in it's own right unless you're making drugz music.

hope you didn't take my comments too hard mate, it's a top track. From doing ADL and helping CuanaD a wee bit, my brain has become jammed in the mistaken belief that I am the lovechild of Martin Hannet and Trevor Horn.....mainly cos I managed for te first time to produce a mix that didn't have WAY too much bass.

Not a lot any of us can do about the way the producer reverbed everything now, would be nice to have the unprocessed files though so we can at least do things our own way.

There's a nice whoop on Ultraviolence, the only one on all 68 Community tracks

LOL where's that riding crop.. :D It'd pay off big time with a REALLY sexy reverb, but, oh I dunno, I have this thing where if I can hear what the unit is actually doing, it seems wrong if you see what I mean.
I'm just listening to it again now, and if pressed I'd say either less early reflections or a bit more high damping....ideally some snazzy reverb will let you high damp te ER's more than the decay portion.
If it makes you feel any less picked on....I fuckin love the drum sound in general, quite unique, without being weird.

I think Atmosphere is alright, but I think we've played it better and it has sounded better on other occasions.

Can't remember the name, I think it was in Kilburn [or was it Holburn? That doesn't even sound like a proper part of London. Sounds more like a sexual innuendo]. I got the setlist, drumstick and there was an "afterparty". All jumping around to BLT [substance] and you guys giving me a lift to Victoria in the van. Well I did help you pack the van. :P
