New Dawn Faded?

Has anyone else heard the Moby/NO version on the 24PP soundtrack? I heard it on Radio 1 on Mark n Lard on Friday and i've got to say it's fuckin abysmal! Moby is no Ian Curtis by any stretch of the imagination and his own cover of New Dawn was itself bad enough. His voice is lame, lacks any power or emotion and for a track like this, thats what you need. I'm a fan of moby but i don't think he knows his limitations and thats why he can be so inconsistent.

It makes it worse for me coz it's my all time fave track! v poor

His version on "End" is fantastic, but I'll have to wait to hear the live one before commenting.

What I resent most is Moby changing the words. I like the idea of using the JD bass part as the chords, with the tune effectively being turned inside out.

When I saw Moby live. (The only reason I was there was because of New Order) Anyways I found him boring and I hated every song. And I was hoping to enjoy it. Maybe because it was raining hard and I was dying for it to end. But I thought his girl Guitarist was hot!!!

That was actually good live (I was there :)) I thought it was cool that they colaborated at the end!!

Olde Bleu, I think you'd better stick to your insatiable Two Fat Ladies' fantasies, even if one of them has carcked it.. You've no realistic chance with our Kyles and Danni given your well-documented penchant for beige sweaters and lazy afternoons pruning in the greenhouse.
