They've completely missed the boat on the Turn single and I wouldn't be surprised if it's been cancelled or replaced by the recent 12x12" campaign from New State/London. Perhaps they thought it was a better way of publicising New Order as a brand with all those career spanning remixes rather than just pushing a single best of compilation.

Rumours of Turn have been floating around for well over 6 months now with not even a 1 track promo appearing. I'm not saying they won't release it but it should've been put out ages ago and I wouldn't be surprised if they've already shelved it

A quick email from Spotnick to the management could solve this one once and for all methinks

Well, the 12x12" is a project with another record label, has nothing to do with Warner.

It's Warner that pulled this one, but I'm quite sure they WILL release it for the summer... hopefully with a fresh b-side instead of a remix most people were able to get and hear right now.

Well it was principally handled by New State but I find it hard to believe a) London/Warners didn't commission it and b) have final say on how the project would be handled. The New State guy who emailed you a while ago did say it was a nightmare getting the appropriate permissions so I would imagine Warners were very much involved. New State just seemed like a more appropriate outlet for the records as their customers are probably mostly DJs or something.

Add to that the Warners/London Records logos are featured on all the 12x12" sleeves it defo looks like a joint project between two labels if ever there was one.

That's why I'm thinking it maybe "replaced" Turn.
