Yep, that would just about do it and covers the 'classic era' period quite well from 82-89.
Ceremony Primitive Notion Run Regret True Faith Leave Me Alone Perfect Kiss Theives Like Us Vanishing Point Temptation
Not my fave 10, but this list took me 20 seconds to compile, its not in any order either.

Ceremony Temptation Perfect Kiss Age of Consent Dreams Never End Sunrise BLT (chunky Bruvvahood version, defo not the 12") Regret Crystal Don't Do It
Tabsy..
you are so enthralled with Turn the Heater On that it makes your 10 best?
I'll let you in on a little secret...when I first got a hold of that Peel Session disc...it had quite the same effect on me as well...even if we've heard from a few others that it is a completely useless track!!!!
Why limit a homemade best of CD to ten tracks? Wouldn't it be more interesting and helpful if the limit was 74 minutes (or 80 if you've got a more up-to-date CD burner than mine)? However, I'll obey the ten track rule.
1 - Age Of Consent (the version on "BBC Radio 1 Live In Concert, complete with the introduction "This is to warm you up for that long cold night you've got ahead of you") 2 - Blue Monday 3 - Thieves Like Us 4 - All The Way 5 - Love Vigilantes 6 - Face Up 7 - Shellshock 8 - Temptation 9 - Mr Disco 10 - Regret
If the limit was 74 mins I'd also put Young Offender, Dream Attack, The Perfect Kiss, Sub-culture, True Faith, 1963, Every Little Counts, Round & Round, World In Motion and Touched By The Hand Of God on my hard drive and then work out how many of them I could cram on to the CD after my top 10.
While i think ten songs are way not enough, here´s my largely-no-surprises-but-covering-the-whole-last-20-years-list : 1.Temptation 2.Blue Monday 3.Bizarre Love Triangle 4.Perfect Kiss 5.True Faith 6.Round&Round 7.World In Motion 8.Regret 9.Crystal 10.Here To Stay

I think its placement benefits more from my recent discovery of it than any actual basis on whether it's good enough to be on a best of. Plus, I just wanted to throw in something that might get a conversation going, as that is the purpose of all good mix tapes/burned cds.
Turn the Heater On is amazing because it's NO trying for something other than their JD doom-and-gloom or trademark dancey pop. Very funky, definitely a keeper for me....
Guilty Partner Dream Attack Perfect Kiss Leave Me Alone Sooner Than You Think Procession Primitive Notion Regret Temptation Ceremony
ceremony temptation 1963 true faith perfect kiss age of consent blt don't do it let's go regret
but yeah, would have more than 10 - all those the full length original 12" versions (where singles) except let's go which is the one from the US best of.
- Ceremony (original version)
- Temptation (12")
- Leave Me Alone
- Blue Monday
- This Time Of Night
- Sunrise
- Paradise
- True Faith
- Dream Attack
- Regret
a good mix of classic singles and great album tracks.
Let's see.....
- Ceremony
- Procession
- Temptation
- KWI
- As It Is When It Was
- Love Less
- EGG
- Primitive Notion
- Lonesome Tonight 10.True Faith
What to name it? All of the good album names are seemingly taken (Now That's What I Call Music, The White Album, Led Zep III, Psychic...Powerless....Another Man's Sac) so I guess I'll steal one from a Leonard Cohen song "Don't Go Home With Your Hard On". Wait, I'll go with NEW ORDER:Before America Was Awake
Lonesome tonight Perfect Kiss Sunrise Paradise Temptation Here to stay Dream attack Run Leave me alone Regret
...and i'd call it "10 tracks is too short by half, guv"

all i know is that it should open with a NO recording of in a lonely place, and close with the jd rehearsal tape version of the same song.
Damn, I forgot to include "Sub-Culture" (the Substance version). It's one of my all-time favourites. Seems like all the negative stories of all y'all about this song really indoctrunated me!
