Has anyone got the video of the Factory Super Gig at Finsbury Park in 1987? (New Order, Happy Mondays, ACR, Railway Children). Apparently there's one knocking around that includes the full NO set plus various 'extras' such as interviews with Barney and Hooky

I've heard rumours of this in the past, but has anyone actually seen it?
This is my favourite ever bootleg, I'd love to see it on video/dvd!!!!!!!!
Never seen it, and didn't know one existed.
I've got some snaps at home from said gig. Were there really cameras there on the day, can't say I remember if I'm being honest. Time to crack open the vault.
My 1st N.O. gig this one. Stone cold sober down in da smoke for the first time so i remember everything. Got an audio but saw no cameras of any description, so i think its bull personally. If there is , quality wise its probably even more shit than gmex the following year
Yeah I was at this gig too (still got the ticket stub!) but alas saw no cameras - used to have a bootleg tape of the audio though.
I think what's happened is that people got a bit confused between this Finsbury Park 87 gig and the Sobell Sports Centre gig in 1985, which was videoed and is in wide circulation, and it got incorrectly transcribed onto a list, and thence into legend. I've certainly never seen a copy.
Fcukin hope that's not the case Tim, but it does sound like it could be the case.
Someone on here a few year back mentioned there was a video of this, but alas, we heard nothing concrete.
The gig from 85 was recorded by Solitude was it not? And that doesnae have any extra's on it, so we can still hope ;)
Would be nice to see a video...What a cracking day.
We had a mini-bus from Derby...luckily I wasnt driving![]()
Got right near the front...and got mega crushed for most of the gig.
My first gig also. I would love to see footage of this, although i very much doubt any exists. It would surely have surfaced by now considering it's nigh on twenty years since the event. I certainly can't remember seeing any cameras.
On a related note, a friend of mine knew a guy that claimed to have videoed this show:
He said he had connections at the venue and was able to set up a single camera on a tripod. Unfortunately, we never got to see a copy and don't know if he was telling the truth. Has anyone else heard of this video making the rounds?
Andy,
I don't doubt it, there could be any number of gigs videod that will never surface as some people like to keep this sort of thing to themselves as unique personal souvenior - selfish bastards.! I have never heard any talk (before now) of a Fins' 87 video. I wish I had filmed it myself but I kind of gave up videoing gigs in 86 except for a couple in 87 and 88 (Not New Order).
One gig that was definately filmed was Brixton Academy in 83, by the same 'cameraman' who filmed Bournemouth the following night. If only that would surface:\ohwell:
