I read Middles' earlier book on hols and it's pretty good, although I felt there were a good few areas that were poorly covered i.e how the band found the courage to continue after Ian's death, how they developed the songs for Movement and indeed, anything really about Movement and P,C and L. He was in the thick of things earlier on and has amazing recall of certain times, places and faces but I'd say that the book is a companion to other books - Deborah's Touching From A Distance is mentioned a fair bit - and Brian Edge's pretty well definitive Pleasures & Wayward Distractions, which I often re-read as it's bang-on.
Looking forward to reading Torn Apart next as that's on the shelf. It's something that they've had several books written about them and other bands never get anthing written about them books-wise!
