Saw a green open topped sportscar the other day, possibly a Jaguar XK8 on the East Lancs road. Whilst idling gazing at the car I noticed the numberplate ,B4NNY. Ah Barney I thought to myself. I then looked at the driver who from the back seemed to be sporting a Barney style haircut.

Was it him? Maybe perhaps a bit too ostentatious for Bernard?

Spookily though, I carried on with my journey, stopped at the local Co-op only to hear Electronics Getting away with it being played in ther background.

OK then? So what type of car is the young man driving these days?

I don't think Barney would be the type of person to have his own name on his number plate...

Would it be spelt out that way?

i don't think barney would want to draw attention to himself in that way, plus if he did, he would probably be able to afford the correct spelling.

There's a pic of his plate on the Apollo 14th photo's thread on Ceremony or Digi Republic. I think it's H110OKY or something like that.

He does indeed. There's a photo of it with the rest of the Manchester Apollo Nov 05 pics. Something like H100KYS from memory.

On the Observer link mil put up in the Bring Back Gillian thread it mentioned that Bernie owned a BMW Z1 that he heaved up in once after one of his heavy nights out. Before that I recall that he once owned a red Merc convertible which he was seen driving in a snippet of the WI(F)M video.

Intresting. I would have chased it....no. Not really on topic but me and my friend saw Shaun Ryder getting into a taxi about 6 months ago.

I did think about giving chase but was already in a right filter lane. Would have meant crashing the lights, dodging the oncoming traffic, beating the speed cameras, overtaking him, cutting across him and then apologising for mistaking him for a knobhead I used to go to school with.
