I've been listening to this a lot of late, and its very good. I usually don't like:

-Reggae. -AntiWar Songs. -New Order doing reggae.

But I really like this cover. Its on an old War Child album - & its worth rediscovering if you've tucked it away somewhere.

They should use Dawn Zee more often. I always liked the tunes with Gillian in them too - Bernards voice works well with them.

One of my favourite NO tracks. Glad that someone esteemed it, too.

I don't think it's a horrible song, but it's not really my favourite, either.

It's an OK-ish cover...

Shame they didn't contribute 'Love Vigilanties' to the anti-war LP instead.

And Dawn Zee should be used much more!

Good use only on Crystal

It works well enough if you don't play it with other more recent NO stuff.

Same can be said for the Peter Saville soundtrack.

Ah well, that's one of my most played New Order CD's at the moment! :)

As for Vietnam, well, it's okay, nothing really special, but still listenable!

Its an ok song. Its about a verse too long however. Makes me think of how much Love Vigilantes is a rif off.

Yeah, I kind of agree with you there on the Love Vigilantes thing.. certainly, topically the songs have similarities.

I always like the original version by Jimmy Cliff when I was younger. I was surprised and thrilled to see New Order cover the song. The did a fine job on it. I like Peter Hooks baselines. Simple yet beautiful.
