Cheers to Mike I finally got to see this today, to put it politely - it wasnae a great video......but fuck me, that should have been brought out as a single!

When (or should I say IF) the next album comes out, send me the fecking thing first and I will advise to the order that the singles should be released.

You know it makes sense :thumb:

What a weird video. Can't even decide if I like it or not. Thanks for posting anyway.

That video is a prank! Please tell me, at the very least, it was done for free. Junior High School Film School project perhaps.

i was going to say WTF, but it is very stylish. it is bound to stand out on MTV.

Dude - I posted that MONTHS ago - its on www.kinoteca.net .

Its not a prank - its on M Shambers website, and he confirmed that it was official - not nessesarily the ONLY one, but official.

I really liek it - I like that classic TV / Film stuff. Reallt different, distictive and classic.

Fantastic song - really love it; but what a shite video.

It's such a retro looking and cutesy video.

It's shite, I don't get it, or is it because I don't get it that I think it's shite?

SUPERB SONG THOUGH

Now this is funny.. when that video was out last February, EVERYBODY said the video was the best thing since sliced bread.

Suddenly nobody likes it?

Typical

I thought everyone had seen this and discussed it when Mil posted the link in February?

It's got soem good moments.I quite like it.But it lacks a bit of direction (I mean where its' going ,or not going.not who the director is)

I love the fact that something that has been out so long is treated like new again.

I think the hardcore fans watched it in February, and they are the ones who loved it. The average fan is seeing it now and they are giving it mixed reviews. Well I love it. And wish I could find it in MPEG.

Another version of turn (new york), seems to have appeared on the kinoteca.net site.

I like the retro quality the video has... And Bernard's voice is so cute in this song!

Reminds me of one of those hastily thrown together anime videos that make no sense. It's cool because it's the 50s...?

Sorry, I just don't get it.

strange....i would have set it to james dean scenes or something....

Didn't know what to think of it because I doubted the authenticity of it....but overall I think the video works very well with the song (themes of social isolation from the 40s-60s combined with romantic deflation and disappointment).

Can anyone identify some of the movies that are used in the clip?

Wow.

I forgot how much I liked that song.

Video's cool too.

Although, it would have been cool if they threw in a few clips of the band playing, filmed in a more "vintage" style to fit in stylistically.

I still like it though.

I guess I should of started a new thread. I was referring to Turn NYC. Very cleanly filmed with a scientific theme, not the retro clip version which has been discussed more than a few times.

I think that "Jetstream" will be (mercifully) the last time you'll see the band perform *live* in a music video.

Ugh, don't remind me of the video. I thought I had it repressed.

Yeah... except for the parts with the submarine-launched missile!?

Sorry it just seems disjointed and random to me... like it could have been laid on top of Radiohead's "Kid A" and made just as much sense.

what that a fan could actually be open minded enough not to like everything the band does? last time i looked people still had a right to have opinions other than yours. btw i quite like that vid, not so much the song.

The point is : there is now a THIRD Turn video after the Vienna one (which I didnot like at all since the very beginning) and the Tokyo one (which is okay)

Who knows, I should convince Mr Shamberg to give the fans a try to do some ? ;)

Seriously, I can't see why doing a video via a competition can't give better results than what they have after I saw what you people did.

Went to the site and watched them all. I liked the Tokyo one best of all of them. I kinda liked the NYC one as well, but that could be just because I'm a science geek.
