Great pix.

Also - Barney is playing a strat in some of the other pix. I don't remember that at all, mind you I didn't see many gigs in the late 80's. I can't tell if it's really a strat or a strat-like guitar, as I can't read the headstock. But anyway - it's got 3 single coil pickups! Anyone any idea what songs he would have used that on?

Not sure about the songs-however he did get a Tokai Strat copy given to him by the supplier which he later had modified with the EMG pickups that are shown in that photo.

I remember the strat and the transparent strap from WOMAD 85. The crowd were chanting, "Barney`s got a new guitar". Remember that.

Sunrise, Broken Promise, Weirdo were the main ones, but it replaced the semi-acoustic for a while as he got a new neck fitted. First started using the strat in the summer of 86, and it was still around a year later.

On the photos above featuring the strat, they were playing Weirdo.

EDIT: Summer of 85, obviously! It's clear for everyone to see on the WOMAD video and the Whistle Test songs.

20 years later would be a great time to return to the land of Hooky's Mum....

And it'd give me and a lot of others the chance to say that we've seen NO live on opposite sides of the world!
