Personally i think it's so i can let my hair down for a fortnight, get my gig attendance up and finish my liver off completely.:p
But speaking to PS, drummer Stephen Morris said that there's no new material to promote and there's no reason for the dates.
This looks like a good answer for those looking forward to an album of original material this year.

I wish that could have been the case, but they haven't entered the studio to record new songs yet.
At least he sees that the best ofs are becoming very frequent - love this title for the new collection"
